Smoke rises from the distance as the moonlight glows faintly through the cracks in the trees.
Arata (carrying a wounded Emilia on his back):
breathing heavily "We… we just escaped from the demon prison. Damn it, Emilia, stay awake!"
Emilia (weak, blood dripping from her mouth):
"We… we have to go back. My brother… we have to help him…"
Arata:
"Don't be stupid! We already lost that fight. If we turn back, we die. We need to find a way to cure you first!"
Tochiro (panting, limping beside them):
"Emilia… thank you for what you did back there. You saved us all."
Emilia's eyes flutter shut. Her head droops. She passes out.
Tochiro:
"Damn it! She's not breathing right… we have to do something!"
Arata:
"Wait… Tochiro… what's that glowing on your back?"

Panel 2 – The Message of the Dead
Tochiro turns around. A faint blue light pulses through his cloak.
Tochiro:
"What the—?"
Arata grabs his collar and lifts the back of his shirt. Strange glowing runes begin to write themselves across Tochiro's skin.
The Writing (Raizen's Voice, glowing in blue):
"It's me… Raizen. I know I wasn't the best brother, but my sister risked her life to save you. Now, it's your turn to save her."
"The poison that struck her is called the Twin-Fall Venom — a curse that can kill demons… but takes the user's life in return."
"When the black marks cover her body completely, she will die. The only cure… is the blood of the Witch of Tyranny."
"Her lair lies in the forbidden forest beyond the northern demon border."
The letters fade into smoke.
Arata:
"The Witch of Tyranny…? Where the hell do we even find a map that leads there?"
Tochiro:
"I… I think I know someone who might have clues. But first, we need to rest. Her demon cells are fighting back; we might still have time."

Panel 3 – The Search
Night falls. Arata lays Emilia on a bed in a small, rundown inn.
Arata:
"She's burning up. Go, find that map. I'll keep her alive."
Tochiro nods and slips into the shadows.

Panel 4 – The Library
Tochiro arrives at an old mansion — his home. The air smells of dust and secrets.
Tochiro:
"Where did I see it…? The map of the demon borders…"
He scans shelf after shelf, hours passing. Finally, he slams his hand on the wall in frustration.
Tochiro:
"Damn it, where's the goddamn book?!"
As he leans against a shelf, a hidden latch clicks. A dusty book falls from above — its title glowing faintly: 'The Secrets of the Witch of Tyranny.'

Panel 5 – The Truth
Tochiro opens the ancient book. The pages whisper as he reads.
Book Writing:
> "Some say the Witch of Tyranny is a myth. Others claim she once healed gods and cursed kings.
None who sought her ever returned.
The forest that guards her is filled with creatures older than death itself.
To reach her is to risk your soul.
Her lair lies beyond the demon border — far north — in the Forbidden Forest."
As Tochiro flips the final page, something slips out — a folded parchment sealed with a crimson wax symbol shaped like a serpent.
Tochiro (shocked):
"A map…?"
He unfolds it. The parchment shows the entire demon region, with routes, landmarks, and one marked destination glowing faintly in red ink — a skull-shaped forest labeled: "Tyranny."
Tochiro (grinning faintly):
"So it's real… The Witch of Tyranny actually exists."
Footsteps echo behind him.
Mizuna (coldly):
"What are you doing in the library at this hour?"
Tochiro (nervously closing the book and hiding the map):
"I was… learning more about demons."
Mizuna:
"You can study later. The execution of Raizen begins now. Come — the king commands attendance."

Panel 6 – The Execution
A massive crowd of demons gathers around a flaming platform. The sky burns red.
Roku (the Demon King):
"Raizen… any last words before your end?"
Raizen (chained, smirking):
"Heh. Go ahead, loser. Let's see if fire can burn regret."
The crowd chants — "KILL! KILL!" — as flames rise. Raizen's body burns to ash.
Tochiro (under his breath, clutching the hidden map):
"Raizen… I'll keep your promise."

Panel 7 – The Journey North
Later that night, Tochiro reunites with Arata and Emilia.
Tochiro:
"I found it. The Witch of Tyranny's location — it's in the forbidden forest north of the demon border. There's… a map."
Arata (adjusting Emilia on his back):
"So, we're basically riding into our own graves."
Tochiro (mounting his horse, smiling faintly):
"Yeah… it sure looks that way."
The wind howls. Lightning flashes in the sky as their horses ride into the darkness.
