Chapter 10.5 – Secrets of the Seven Realms
The tale of Xu Lian cannot be understood without knowing the world that forged him—and the rulers who sought his destruction.
---
The Seven Realms
Long ago, the world split into seven territories. Each realm became the domain of one supreme ruler, whose strength could level mountains:
1. Azure Dragon Realm – Ruled by the Qinglong Emperor, a master of martial conquest. His armies stretch across endless plains, every soldier a blade in his will.
2. Vermilion Flame Realm – Home of the Yan Emperor, lord of fire arts and weapon forges. His sects shape blades that drink the blood of heavens.
3. Golden Lion Realm – Ruled by the Lion King of Valor, unmatched in brute force. Beast tamers and savage warriors dominate here.
4. Serpent Shadow Realm – Shrouded in poison and silence. Its mistress, the Serpent Queen, commands assassins and killers feared even by kings.
5. White Lotus Realm – Ruled by the Lotus Saints. They wear the mask of holiness but hide hypocrisy, enslaving mortals under their "righteous" rule.
6. Black Iron Realm – Forged in endless mountains, ruled by the Iron Tyrant. Body refinement and sheer endurance make his warriors unbreakable.
7. Celestial Phoenix Realm – Loftiest of them all. The Celestial Emperor claims divinity, his Immortal Court ruling from palaces hidden in the clouds.
These seven powers do not coexist in peace—they balance on blades, always watching, always waiting for weakness.
---
The Protagonist's Homeland
Xu Lian was born in the Serpent Shadow Realm, in a frontier province called Fangyuan.
His clan, the Xu Clan, was no great dynasty, yet they carried potential dangerous enough to draw the Serpent Queen's eye.
They were wealthy from trade.
They trained disciples who advanced with unusual speed.
And whispers said their ancestral grounds hid a forbidden inheritance, a legacy tied to realms even older than the seven.
That alone was reason enough for execution. In the Serpent Queen's realm, rising too quickly is the same as treason.
---
Why the Xu Clan Was Erased
Three truths led to their downfall:
1. Fear of Growth – A single clan rising unchecked threatened the balance of the Serpent Queen's vassals.
2. A Forgotten Oath – Xu Lian's father once defied the Serpent Queen, refusing to hand over loyal retainers. She never forgave.
3. Hidden Treasure – The Xu grounds were said to guard knowledge that could tilt the balance of realms.
Thus, the Queen's decree was silent but absolute:
Erase them.
No survivors.
But fate slipped her grasp. One boy survived.

The Cultivation Ladder of the Seven Realms
Cultivation is the road of defiance. Each step is harder than the last, and few ever reach beyond the first gates.
---
1. Mortal Realm
The beginning of all life.
Body Tempering → Qi Gathering → Spirit Veins → Foundation Establishment
Ordinary mortals struggle here. At best, they live as soldiers or guards.
---
2. Spirit Realm
Where true cultivation begins.
Core Formation → Golden Core → Nascent Soul → Soul Transformation
Cultivators here dominate provinces, lead clans, and are feared as lords.
---
3. Immortal Realm
Mortality fades, divinity awakens.
Domain Lord → Void Step → Heaven's Step → Celestial Lord
The rulers of sects and even entire regions stand here. To a mortal, they are gods.
---
4. Fiend Realm
Those who defy heaven itself.
Fiend General → Fiend King → Fiend Emperor
Slaughter, forbidden arts, and abyssal power dwell here. They rival the Immortal path but are cursed by heaven.
---
5. Celestial Realm
The step into the heavens.
Immortal Ascension → True Celestial → Saint Celestial
One's body and Dao become eternal. These beings can shatter mountains with a thought, and command stars.
---
6. Primordial Realm
The path of creation itself.
Primordial Sovereign → Dao Ancestor
Only a handful in history ever reached here. They embody the original laws of fire, water, chaos, void.
---
7. Abyssal Realm
The final darkness, beyond heaven and Dao.
Abyss Monarch → Eternal Abyssal Lord/ heavenly dao
It is said even the Celestial Phoenix Emperor fears those who step here. Their footsteps erase realms.
Xu Lian, still a youth, had already touched Core Formation, a speed that defied reason. It marked him for death—because no realm tolerates a seed that could grow beyond its control.
---
The Coming Storm
Now, across the Seven Realms, his name spreads:
Demon child.
Clan survivor.
Future calamity.
For the rulers of heaven and earth, one conclusion is clear:
Xu Lian must die before he takes root.
But for Xu Lian himself, only one vow matters:
("You erased my family. You tried to erase my name.
Now I will erase your thrones. One by one, realm by realm, until I alone remain.")
And so begins the march of the boy who would challenge the Seven Realms themselves.

📖 Author's Note
I know this chapter was different from the usual action and drama, but I decided to include it so readers won't get lost as the story grows larger.
From here on, Xu Lian's journey will expand far beyond one province—he will clash with powers that rule entire realms, step through many stages of cultivation, and shake the balance of the Seven Realms themselves.
Rather than drop random terms and expect you to remember, I wanted to give you a solid foundation of the world:
Who the rulers are.
Why the Xu Clan was destroyed.
How the Seven Realms are divided.
And what stages of cultivation exist on the path to heaven.
This way, you'll always understand the stakes when Xu Lian challenges his enemies—and when he rises to new heights.
Now that the stage is set, the blood and fire of his true path will continue from the next chapter onward. ⚔️🔥
NEXT CHAPTER WILL COME TOMORROW
