Chapter 21 - Chapter 21

[Limitless Technique lv2 (1/300): Manipulates space at the atomic level. Objects approaching the user decelerate progressively, asymptotically approaching zero velocity. Physical contact becomes impossible.]

Vast information continued flooding Leon's mind. His proficiency with Limitless increased rapidly.

If the original Limitless's maximum range was approximately 5 centimeters from his body surface, Level 2 doubled this distance. Now the maximum effective range was 10 centimeters from his body surface!

Moreover, because Limitless formed the foundation for Blue and Red, both techniques were strengthened considerably.

Not only was release speed faster, but power was fully enhanced.

If he used Red to attack Abomination now, it would pierce his chest and abdomen directly—instead of launching him thousands of meters before piercing through!

After negotiating Abomination and Hulk's price with Nick Fury, Leon waited.

During the half hour he waited, all armed personnel didn't dare approach—only dared monitor from a distance. Even fearless General Ross kept his distance.

From the Hulk capture process, he'd understood the gap between himself and Hulk.

Now, facing Leon—even more powerful than Hulk—even someone as reckless as Ross wouldn't waste troops pointlessly.

Mutants hiding nearby were ecstatic, staring at the white-haired figure in the battlefield ruins' center. That was their god!

The mutant god!

For so long, mutants had been oppressed and subjected to horrific secret experiments. Now they'd finally risen!

Just standing there, hundreds of heavily armed troops didn't dare advance—didn't even dare launch missiles!

Because they knew these attacks were completely ineffective—could only anger the White Devil and prompt him to kill them all!

S.H.I.E.L.D.'s response was swift. Soon after, a Quinjet flew in from the distance. Leading several agents was an old acquaintance—Agent Coulson.

Behind him stood a man holding a bow. Judging by appearance, this should be Hawkeye.

Hawkeye looked curiously at the white-haired man before him, then surveyed the surroundings, finally stopping at the massive furrow stretching thousands of meters.

If he hadn't witnessed it personally, he'd never imagine the seemingly thin white-haired man contained such terrifying, tremendous energy!

Leon ignored Hawkeye and addressed Coulson directly:

"That's Hulk and Abomination over there. Take custody. Remember to use Adamantium or vibranium restraints—otherwise imprisonment will be nearly impossible."

Coulson couldn't help bitter smile, watching Leon speak eloquently as if selling Hulk and Abomination as ordinary commodities.

The White Devil was terrifying!

His appearance had undoubtedly destroyed the balance between mutants and ordinary humans. Thinking purely about Earth's interior, he and Director Fury definitely wouldn't want an overly powerful mutant like Leon existing.

But judging from the entire universe's perspective—Leon's existence was essential!

After all, they knew more advanced civilizations existed in the universe. Earth was merely a remote cosmic corner—could be destroyed anytime!

After Leon finished speaking, he told Coulson:

"Agent Coulson, remember to deposit two hundred million in my account. I'm leaving!"

Then, without awaiting Coulson's response, azure cursed energy enveloped Leon's body. With sudden force from his feet, he leaped to a nearby tall building, then used the wall for momentum—disappearing instantly.

Leon wasn't worried S.H.I.E.L.D. would default on payment. These agents were intelligent people, and Nick Fury—S.H.I.E.L.D.'s director—was even smarter. They wouldn't make such foolish choices.

Seeing Leon depart, Coulson pressed his earpiece and reported to Nick Fury. After a moment, he looked at Hawkeye beside him.

"Agent Barton, what do you think of him?"

Hawkeye still stared toward Leon's departure direction. The wall Leon had used for leverage was covered with dense, vicious cracks. Hearing Coulson's question, he fell silent momentarily, then said:

"Hard to imagine this is power humans can possess. His strength is so terrifying it feels unreal. I don't understand what my decades of training accomplished.

If I fought him, I'd probably be killed instantly—without any ability to resist.

My attack method primarily relies on specialized arrows. The White Devil's speed exceeds my eyesight—arrows would have extreme difficulty hitting him. Even if they could hit, that terrifying defense..."

Hawkeye paused here, but Coulson understood what Agent Barton wanted to say:

That terrifying defense has no solution at all!

Only spatial attacks could breach it. With current technology, aside from mutants who also possessed mutant abilities, how could they launch spatial attacks?

Coulson patted Agent Barton's shoulder comfortingly:

"Agent Barton, you're already very strong. After all, there's only one White Devil in the world!"

"Yes... only one White Devil..."

Arriving atop the high-rise, Tony was already waiting. Seeing Leon return, he curiously circled him several times, lasers shooting from his suit's eyes to scan continuously.

"How'd you do it—face those two monsters and still win easily?

Are you really human?"

Tony Stark finally couldn't help asking this question.

Leon smiled and told Tony:

"Tony, the world is vast and exciting. Even if I'm not strongest now, many people on Earth exceed me!

Dark Phoenix, the Sorcerer Supreme, etc. You need broader vision!"

"Really?"

Tony questioned, but seeing Leon's smile, his expression gradually grew serious.

He finally realized this world wasn't as simple as he'd imagined. Even Leon wasn't strongest—what kind of power did other formidable beings possess?

Dark Phoenix, Sorcerer Supreme... What were these powerful figures' identities, and how strong were they?

Wait—Sorcerer?

"You're saying sorcerers exist on Earth? The kind of extraordinary people who can cast spells?"

"Of course!"

Tony was shocked again, then thought of what Leon had just said:

"You said you're not their opponent now—will you win in the future?"

"Yes!"

Same words as Gojo Satoru. Same confidence as Gojo Satoru. But Leon with the system was destined for a different ending than Gojo!

He—

Leon Demiurge—

Didn't want to be cut in half!

Simultaneously, Coulson—transporting Dr. Banner and Abomination back to the Helicarrier—heard a new order from Nick Fury through his earpiece.

"A strange crater appeared in New Mexico, with a hammer placed at the center. Can't be lifted by any means.

Agent Coulson, you're responsible for investigating the hammer. After this mission, you'll definitely get vacation time!"

Coulson stroked his increasingly sparse hair, ended the call, and sighed:

"Director Fury, you've said this many times!"
