Chapter 29 - Chapter 29

[Cursed Technique Reversal: Red lv2 (1/300): Generates repulsive force with Red as the center. Minimum power is twice Blue's maximum output. Maximum output approaches positive infinity—similar to a miniature supernova.]

Vast information poured into Leon's mind. His experience using Red increased rapidly!

Leon used Red again. A crimson singularity formed above his index finger. The size grew from bean-sized to ping-pong ball-sized. The repulsive force it emitted also increased several times!

Looking at the crimson singularity on his fingertip, Leon couldn't help missing Hulk and Abomination.

Of all the fights he'd experienced, they had the best feel!

That solid sensation of endurance was something he could never forget!

"Wait a minute. I overheard the conversation between Coulson and Nick Fury. A strange crater appeared in New Mexico, with a hammer no one can lift located at the center.

Doesn't this mean Thor has been exiled by Odin and arrived on Earth now?

Presumably Thor after regaining his power should be more fun to fight, while the Destroyer armor controlled by Loki is even more durable. They'll be good targets!"

The corner of Leon's mouth curved into a subtle arc...

New entertainment had arrived!

Finding Spider-Woman again, she was no longer where she'd been, but atop a tall building.

Although Spider-Woman's help wasn't necessary—he'd never been in danger—Leon was still grateful to her for assisting.

Without her help, the fact that he was immune to the mutant suppression device would have been impossible to hide, which would undoubtedly have taken considerable fun from him.

"Thank you for your help. I'll give you a gift next time we meet to express my gratitude!"

Gwen's curiosity was aroused by Leon's words. She was curious what gift the powerful White Devil would give.

Then she heard the charming Mr. Devil smile mysteriously:

"Keep looking forward to it. I believe you'll really like it!"

Gwen wanted to say more, but then saw the White Devil step out and vanish before her—disappearing without a trace.

It wasn't until the White Devil disappeared that she remembered she'd forgotten to ask why he became stronger so fast.

"Then I'll wait until next time we meet. I'm really looking forward to it!"

Gwen hummed a song, jumped from the tall building, and left swinging on webbing.

Leon wasn't in a hurry to go to New Mexico immediately, but visited a high-end restaurant to taste food.

At Level 3, he couldn't use energy to replace food, but should be able at Level 4.

However, even if he could use energy to maintain life functions, he wouldn't refuse eating. Eating was undoubtedly a great pleasure.

With Leon's current appetite, eating at a high-end restaurant would cost tens of thousands of dollars. However, this money was merely a drop in the bucket now—he didn't take it seriously.

As his strength gradually grew stronger, obtaining money became easier and easier.

After walking out of the restaurant, Leon was about to head to New Mexico to find Thor for entertainment, when he suddenly found several familiar figures before him.

These people's appearances differed slightly compared to movies. If their features weren't obvious and they weren't gathered together, Leon might not recognize them.

Yes, the people standing before Leon and blocking his path were none other than X-Men members. Among them was Professor X, a kindly old man in a wheelchair with extremely strong telepathic abilities.

Behind him, helping push the wheelchair was Cyclops wearing special sunglasses, and beside him were red-haired Phoenix and white-haired Storm.

"X-Men? What do you want from me?"

Leon asked in confusion. Apart from having the same enemy—Stryker—he had no interaction with the X-Men.

Professor X looked at Leon with complex expression.

He couldn't sense the young man's consciousness at all—like an ant standing on an elephant unable to see the elephant.

Because to it, the elephant was endless land!

The moment he saw the White Devil, Professor X understood the young man before him was a more terrifying existence than Jean!

Even facing Jean, he could sense her spirit's existence. But facing the White Devil, his ability completely failed!

Hearing Leon's question, Professor X showed a kind expression, then said slowly:

"Child, I'd like to invite you to join Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. The children in this school are mutants just like you.

If you join the school, you'll never be alone again!

And you're now in very dangerous situation. The government and military have formulated a plan against you. Even if your mutant abilities are very strong, you're still no match for them!

Join us and the X-Men will negotiate with the government and military to help cancel your warrant!"

The three around—Cyclops, Phoenix, and Storm—looked at Leon confidently. They were all sure that if the White Devil wasn't a fool, he'd definitely agree to join Xavier's School.

First, they were all mutants. They knew what it felt like being disgusted by others after becoming a mutant—knew the loneliness of being abandoned by the whole world.

Mutants craved their own kind!

Second, the White Devil was wanted by government and military. Though very powerful, he definitely wasn't an opponent facing full military and government pursuit, plus attacks from numerous mutants of different types!

When facing Stryker's pursuit team before, the White Devil was almost killed.

He must understand this.

As long as the White Devil was brought to Xavier's School, the professor would educate him and change his current violent character.

By then, the X-Men would have very powerful fighting force!

Cyclops and others looked forward to that day!

However, the White Devil's response shattered their self-righteous fantasy and made them realize they'd never understood him!

"Sorry. I don't feel lonely, and I'm not interested in joining Xavier's School."

Cyclops looked at the White Devil in disbelief. He didn't expect him to say such a thing.

This was completely incomprehensible to him—who'd been called a monster by classmates after awakening his mutant ability!

"If you don't stay with mutants, won't you be called a monster by others? Won't you be hated by them?

And what about military arrest? Even you can't face attacks from so many mutants whose specific abilities are unknown!"

Then he saw the White Devil's mouth gradually raise into an arc—this arc growing bigger and bigger until becoming unrestrained!

"Hahaha... They insult me? Kill! They chase me? Kill! They condemn me? Still kill!

I believe as the death toll increases, they'll gradually realize their mistakes, change their minds, and finally draw such a conclusion—the White Devil is an upright and kind law-abiding citizen!"
