Chapter 64 - Outsiders

Boom!!

A sudden loud noise erupted from the left, causing the driver and the man covered with tattoos, who were about to film, to instinctively turn their heads to the left…

"Listening to you talk is downright disgusting!!"

These words rang out in their ears almost simultaneously, and then…

Bang!!!

Both men were struck hard on the other side of their faces, sending them flying backwards.

"Was that… A rock?!"

That was the last thought that crossed the man covered with tattoos' mind as he felt the stone on his face.

Then his vision went black, his head lurched, and he passed out.

"It's easier than I thought…"

Feitan, disguised as a child, still tucked his hands into his pockets, secretly lowering the blades he had prepared.

Looking at the two men unconscious on the ground, he spat at them.

"Who the hell said my body looks like a kid's?!!"

He was deeply annoyed by the description of these two scumbags.

"It can't be helped. You're the perfect bait, after all."

Phinks emerged from behind the tree on the left that had made the noise and grinned.

"We can't let Sarasa be the bait. If anything goes wrong, it will be disastrous."

"And I think you'd be a good fit too… Uh…"

When Phinks saw Feitan's death glare, he shut his mouth in frustration.

"Hahahaha, I thought it would be a ton of trouble, but this is it?!!"

From behind the tree on the right, Uvogin laughed and strode out at a brisk pace.

"Two rocks, and they were knocked out…"

He smiled while looking at the two guys lying on the ground with a disdainful curl of his lips.

"They're such losers."

"You can't say that…"

Shalnark jumped down from a hidden tree.

"If it weren't for Luke's invention, which provided us with sufficient information in a timely manner."

Shalnark shook the remote monitor in his hand: "We wouldn't have come up with such a plan."

Well, their plan was simple.

Aren't these guys specifically here to kidnap children from Meteor City?

So they'd have Feitan, with his childlike build and stature, walk alone through the woods to attract their attention.

And sure enough, they successfully tricked the two guys and lured them out of the car.

Then Feitan spoke directly, surprising them, and Phinks caused a loud noise on the left.

This drew the two men's attention, drawing their gaze to the left.

Then, Uvogin, hiding on the right, took advantage of the two men's being distracted and decisively threw the stone they had prepared.

It struck them right on the head.

As it turned out, the plan went perfectly smoothly, everything proceeding as planned.

And even if anything went wrong, they still had Shalnark, Franklin, Chrollo, and Sheila hiding in the other trees to act as backup.

With so many people, it was more than enough to deal with these two idiot scumbags.

Well, they should even feel honored to have all the future Phantom Troupe members out to greet them.

It could be said that overall, the plan was simple.

But as Shalnark said, they were able to devise such a plan thanks to the intelligence provided by Luke.

Only by knowing the specific enemy situation could they formulate an appropriate plan and launch an operation.

And the source of this intelligence, naturally, was his invention:

Invention: Surveillance Robot

Origin: Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf - Slowy, the Goats' Village chief

Function: A small, round robot that worked like a surveillance camera, able to patrol the sky and transmit what it filmed in real time to a remote monitor.

Shalnark was holding that very remote monitor now.

On its small square screen, the current situation was displayed in full.

If you looked up, you'd see a small circular robot floating above everyone's heads.

Originally, this was the surveillance robot used by Village Chief Slowy to monitor whether the village was being invaded by Wolffy.

Now, Luke had used it to monitor the situation in the black van, which was just the perfect thing to do!

"Come out! It's safe now."

Pakunoda and Sheila also rescued the children from the car.

They comforted them, and when the children realized they were finally out of danger, they couldn't help but sob.

They were truly terrified.

"These bastards!"

Nobunaga, who had tied up the van driver and the man covered with tattoos, flew into a rage. He kicked the two men hard in the groin several times, making them convulse.

Franklin said nothing, but his sullen face betrayed his current state of mind.

Chrollo, who had finished inspecting the scene, was also in a foul mood.

"When they saw Feitan, they showed no signs of vigilance at all, and even spoke so brazenly…"

Chrollo came to Luke's side and whispered: "That shows they've done this many times, and they succeed almost every time."

This was what made Chrollo very uncomfortable.

Their sheer arrogance and unashamed boasting of their deeds.

They had even intended to record the entire process on video equipment…

Clearly, this wasn't their first time.

And it meant that more than one child had already suffered at their hands.

Chrollo couldn't even bring himself to imagine if it had been one of their own comrades.

If it wasn't Feitan, deliberately acting as bait, but Sarasa or Machi on their way home… he quickly shook his head, forcing such thoughts out.

"So, is this why you kept Machi and Sarasa from coming?"

"It's much better for them to stay in the warehouse than to run out and wander around with us."

Luke replied calmly.

This time, the whole group hadn't come. Sarasa and Machi had remained behind.

For their safety, Luke politely said he had them guard the base.

But in truth…
