Chapter 33: The Rule of the Astrologer
That sentence made Emilia freeze.
Uno slowly stepped closer, his golden eyes gleaming as if they could pierce through every secret.
"Lady Emilia, I know you are searching for answers. But remember, sometimes those who wear white robes are the ones with the darkest souls."
The air around them suddenly twisted. Emilia immediately began chanting a spell, but Uno merely lifted his hand, and his body dissolved into a cloud of black smoke, leaving behind a voice echoing faintly in the air.
"We will meet again."
The warehouse doors exploded open. The remaining men in black cloaks screamed in agony before their bodies burst apart, blood and flesh splattering across the floor.
Emilia took a deep breath, her eyes glowing a deep shade of violet.
A dark surge of magic spread from her palm, the new power she had obtained in exchange for her soul.
