Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 - Parents & Siblings

I blocked off the tree with some branches that I found so that my siblings can have some extra protection until they hatch. Where are our parents I wonder? Are we part of the lizardman tribe around the lake Shisu that I saw in the anime? I decided to explore around to find out.

Epistemon, make a map from what I'm seeing.

Hmm, I should get  first. I need to feel the magicules flow inside me or something?… and I immediately did, just like rimuru and pushed my senses outward.

Yes. It was weird to have both vision from my eyes and vision from a magic sense, but Epistemon was processing the information, so I just had to get used to it. I could use it to see a hundred meters all around me. Just as I was about to widen the range of my vision, I spotted a corpse in the edge of my 'vision'

I grimaced and made my way to it. "You guys sacrificed your life for us huh" I said as I looked at the bones of what looked to be dinosaurs. I knew of course that these were likely my parents, but I still wanted to confirm. 

Epistemon, appraise.

Understood, these are indeed remains of 2 lizardmen. One male, one female and their DNA signatures confirm paternity to you

*Sigh* I spotted an area without trees nearby and dug a grave for them. I clasped my hands and prayed the only way I knew how, and made a solemn promise. 

"I promise to take care of all my siblings, so you don't need to worry. Rest in peace" 

I put a large flat stone on top of their graves and carved a triangle so that I can remember exactly where their graves are. Epistemon, make a landmark here so that I can visit it at any time.

Ok, let's see If I can surpass Rimuru off the bat. I remember that magic was cast by controlling magicules and infusing your will and imagination into them. But I also saw magic circles being used, do I need them?

"Ahhh, let's just try to attain basic attack and defence skills first"

I then tried to make my magicules flow into my dominant right hand, but they refused to move. I focused and tried again trying to infuse my will to increase blunt damage and this time it worked, my magic moved to my right hand, emitting a purple aura, I punched the tree next to me. *Crack* it exploded with power and almost cracked the tree in half.

Nice! Now I just need a defence skill. This time I tried to will my magic to cover my whole body and infused the intent of reducing damage and once again it worked, my whole body was covered in a purplish sheen and I could feel that there was a quasi-shield around me.

I returned to my siblings while assigning a large rock to my fission magicule breeder reactor. I also extended the range of my using the magicules that my reactor produced. And I could finally understand where I was. I was in the area of the forest where all the goblin villages were and I could vaguely sense the ogre village in the edge of my vision at the foot of the Kusha mountains. 

I had a vague plan in my head, I would first wait for all my siblings to hatch and name them, then make my way to the ogre village to learn arts from them, strengthening myself and my siblings. Though, now that I think about this, I should name myself. 

Epistemon, can I name myself? 

Understood, no creature cannot name itself, however as a conscious unique skill occupying a part of your soul, it is possible to name you through .

Did I sense a hint of pride in that sentence? Well also had a semi personality sometimes. 

Hmm, what name do I want? I wanna be a great dragon and a co-king with Rimuru, so… let's go with Rex.

Epistemon, name me Rex, use as many magicules as you want, I recover everything pretty much instantly due to my currently low magical capacity and .
