Chapter 1 - Prologue

This story takes place in the same world as 'I Want to Dream Forever Because It's You.'

In the ancient age before the Three Realms were torn asunder, no one remembered when it began—only that it had never truly ended.

When the war between the Divine and the Demonic reached its peak, Heavenly Emperor Ming Guan stood upon the clouds of the Ninth Heaven, his hands stained with the ashes of gods.

He looked toward the blazing horizon where the Ancient Demon Spirit Tai Mu once stood and whispered,

"If I had sealed him with my own soul, perhaps the world would not bleed today."

But regret comes too late for those who hold the heavens in their palms.

Before anyone could stop him, the Heavenly Emperor issued his final decree:

"From this day forth, the Nine Heavens shall be sealed. The age of gods is over."

And with that, Ming Guan vanished into seclusion.

The Immortal of War, Wu Feng Ming, was the only one who could inherit the Heavenly Emperor's mantle by both birthright and strength. Yet, when the decree arrived, he merely said,

" I have no interest in thrones built from ashes."

and turned his back on the Heavenly Palace.

That year, no one saw Yun Ling, the goddess who could calm Ming Guan's madness.

And in the Moon Palace of the Demon Realm, the Fairy of Sadness, Cheng Honglian, finally saw her wish fulfilled—

for in silence, Wu Feng Ming guarded Hou Mingyue's divine body and soul lamp, praying his spirit would one day return.

But heaven's peace is fragile.

Without a ruler to command the demons, and no god to lead the immortals, the balance of the Three Realms crumbled once more.

War flared endlessly between Immortal and Demon, for their hearts and values could never align.

The mortals suffered most, trapped beneath the weight of their masters' pride.

It took twelve ancient divine immortals a thousand years to complete the sealing ritual of the Nine Heavens.

That was one hundred and twenty million years ago.

Now, the Realms stand divided.

The highest of the divine race are sealed within the Celestial Realm, while immortals and demons linger in the lower realms—

still cultivating, still dreaming, but never again allowed to ascend.

Those immortals who remained built a false heaven in imitation of the real one.

They became the guardians of reincarnation, fate, and ascension—

roles once governed by the Divine.

This fragile balance was sustained by Wu Feng Ming's guidance,

and on the other side, the Demon Realm declared its new king—

Lingfeng Moqian, the tenth ruler since Hou Mingyue's fall.

For eighty thousand years, peace held.

But peace, like moonlight, is only borrowed.

Ten thousand years ago, during the New Year Festival, a calamity tore the realms apart once more.

Lingfeng Moqian was accused of slaughtering a hundred cultivators from the Sunrise Immortal Sect. The Immortal Realm demanded his surrender.

He refused.

The Celestial forces descended upon the Xi'Tian Field.

For seven days and nights, the war raged.

No side yielded.

And when the heavens themselves began to fracture—

she appeared.

Divine Lord Si Nuya,

the only being who had once reached the Demon King's heart,

descended through the clouds, her robes soaked in golden light.

Moqian's voice faltered when he saw her.

"You should not be here."

But she only smiled faintly, "Why not?"

Before he could stop her, Si Nuya lifted her blade, shattered her own divine core,

and sealed Moqian and his entire demonic army within the Xi'Tian Field.

Her primordial spirit became the sword itself—

the eternal seal.

In this world, Lan Yan, a modern girl from another universe, finds herself transmigrated into the body of a young disciple from the Plum Mist Sect—a girl fated to cross paths with the most dangerous being in all realms.

Entangled in the ancient schemes of Lingfeng Moqian, the ruthless Demon King sealed for ten thousand years, Lan Yan must navigate a world ruled by cultivation, deceit, and destiny.

Will she survive his cold-hearted manipulations… or find a way to return to the world she once called home?
