"Please, grant me the power to control space," Norrak's voice reached everyone's ears. Wan Shi Tong was surprised, and even a hint of disappointment appeared in his eyes.
Does this human not know that being able to control space has never been granted to anyone before? Wan Shi Tong would be surprised if the great spirit did not smite him where he stands-
"I shall grant your request."
"What!"

Wan Shi Tong, Katara, Ty Lee and Toph all looked at Inane with shocked faces, before the girl's face quickly turned into excitement for Norrak. Although they do not know what space is.
"You will grant my request? I am happy to agree, but Lord Inane, what will you be taking from me?" Norrak was excited for a few seconds before he quickly calmed down.
He still doesn't know what Inane wants in return for giving him the ability to control space. If it's nothing major, then Norrak will allow it, but if it's something big like his Six Eyes, then he won't.
In Norrak's mind, his Six Eyes is something he cannot take or give away, even if it's something like controlling space. Even without space, he can have the Lion Turtle unlock his nodes, allowing him to bend the four elements.
"Hmm... I was planning to take those beautiful, space-affinity-filled eyes... But it's like it's glued to you, no matter what I do, I can't take it away," Inane spoke with curiosity. Norrak felt a shiver go down his spine as cold sweat seeped into his clothes.
"Hey, if you do anything to Norrak's eyes. I swear I will make you pay!" Katara stepped forward, her eyebrows scrunched in anger and something deeper as she looked at Inane, her pupils glowing a white colour.
Toph clicked her tongue as she sturdied her soles on the floor, ready to fight if needed. Ty Lee, on the other hand, activated her Chi technique and vibrated her cells.
Wan Shi Tong looked at this and shook his head. No matter how many avatars come, Inane could wipe them out with a wave of his hands. Though he was more worried about damage to his library.
Inane looked at Katara, and sensing Raava in her soul, Inane shrugged. He was not threatened by the girl's words, but if Raava decided to aid her, then it would cause some trouble, as killing her would place the world in chaos.
Though Inane didn't care since he was a neutral spirit.
Though he would win.
"Do not worry, child. I do not plan on taking his eyes; I can't even if I wanted to. Instead... I will take his waterbending," Inane spoke up, and Norrak winced at his words.
His waterbending is powerful, but he is uncertain about giving up his bending for control of space. However, he would gain significantly more destructive power with spacebending.
'Come on! What else do I have that will allow him to give me spacebending?... Can't I offer some things in return, like my service anytime he asks for it?' Norrak thought with a disturbed facial expression.
He doesn't want to give up any of his power, and having his waterbending be taken, when he already mastered it to such a degree, is a bad decision in his mind.
"Lord Inane, can't you give me the ability to control space, in return for my service? I could do jobs that you don't want to, as long as I am alive," Norrak asked with hope in his voice, and Inane hummed.
'Well, I do need someone to get rid of spatial anomalies in the universe. Most of the time, I am focused on expanding my universe, and that takes almost all my focus,' Inane thought with narrowed eyes as he looked at Norrak.
"Fine, fine, you shall become my avatar from now on. I will give you the ability to bend space," Inane said, and instantly, his hand fell on Norrak's head.
Boom!
Space twisted around the place, and a dark energy surged across Norrak's body, changing his spiritual energy and his Chi in the process. Norrak felt a surge in his body, his Six Eyes analysing everything.
'Wow! If before my Chi was pure smooth, like water. Then my Chi now has the nature of intangibility!' Norrak thought as his Chi covered his hands, revealing a black flame-like aura.
"Now, I'll contact you when I need your service, so be ready for me to call on you anytime," Inane said, while his body started to slowly vanish. Norraks stood up, and he nodded with a firm expression.
The library was silent for a second before Katara looked at Norrak for questions. Wan Shi Tong was more shocked, since the human before him had gained a primordial power.
"So, care to explain what this space is? All I know is that it's an area beyond the sky," Katara asked in confusion, her eyebrows lifted. Toph and Ty Lee did the same.
"Well, space is not just an area beyond the sky. Space is the reason everything exists. Without space, the only thing existing is time," Norrak explained, clenching and unclenching his fist.
"Think of it like an ever-expanding lake, with the lake being space, and the fish being everything. The ground, sky, people and animals, everything," Norrak said, his hand suddenly going see-through as he became intangible.
Katara, Ty Lee and Toph nodded with confused faces. They understood what Norrak was saying, but the thought of space being more than an area beyond the sky was new to them.
'Ahh, I can't wait until this world advances in freaking science,' Norrak thought as his hand became tangible again. Just now, he used his Chi to cover his hand and then merge it with space.
His Chi gained the nature of space, enabling him to control it by fusing his Chi with space. When he covered his body with Chi, he could also fuse with space.
"Whatever! Let's get going, we need to get to sun thingy or whatever it's called, right?" Toph said, her booming voice interrupting everyone from their thoughts. Norrak nodded, his face covered in excitement.
"Yeah, we should go now," Norrak said before turning to Wan Shi Tong. With a grateful nod, Norrak took Toph in his hands, while Katra lifted Ty Lee, and the four flew out of the tower.
"What an interesting child... To gain the acknowledgement of space is something no one has ever done before," Wan Shi Tong muttered before slowly moving to continue writing the knowledge in his head.

What do you guys think about this chapter? I was going to have Inane take Norrak's bending away, and then later have the Lion Turtle give him the three other bedninds.
But I think that it's practically useless to take Norrak's bending then. So I had Norrak serve Inane. Of course, I will be using that for future chapters.
