Boom!
Two figures punched each other in the face. A sickening sound of teeth crunching and knuckles popping echoed in the area, while groans of pain and the will to fight faded into the air.
The entire area around the two was covered in cracks, craters and fissures. It looked as if a war between tanks and bombs had taken place from the scarred earth.
A fist encased in several coloured Chi was the first to loosen. Then a fist wrapped in blazing blue Chi clenched harder, the force behind it fading as the figure stumbled back.
"Ha... Ha... Haha! Not bad, not bad at all... Seems like you have some talent after all," Azula's raspy voice entered Katara's ears, blood leaking from her busted lips, her eye suckets dark and blue from the spar.
"Tch!... Why are you saying that as if I won? I lost in this fight again anyway..." Katara replied with a click of her tongue. Her face was even more bruised than Azula's, both eyes looking like she had been abused by Norrak every day.
The two had been fighting for a long time by now, only stopping when their Chi was almost depleted.
After fighting and using their stamina, the two would take a break and start doing breathing exercises to regain their energy. Then the two would engage in the fight again.
While Azula occasionally imparted some Firebending knowledge to Katara, who should have gotten Firebending the fastest besides air, realistically.
"You really suck at learning Firebending. With all the clues I gave you in the past three days, even a newly learning Firebender would be able to make a ball of fire," Azula spoke up again as she wiped the blood on her lips with the back of her hand.
Katara sighed as she turned around, her blue eyes downcast as she crossed her arms, a twitch on her face as she felt sharp pain shoot through her body at the movement.
Azula's dispirited words echoed in her mind as she thought. She was talented and had already somewhat mastered Airbending, while she could use Earthbending on her first try.
So why couldn't she use Firebending?
"I know what the problem is. It's because you have some mommy and papa issues due to their deaths at the hands of Firebenders. You don't want to learn Firebending," Katara spun around with a gasp as she limped towards Azula with anger.
"How dare you speak of them as if it's not your country's fault that they died? I don't want to hear this, especially not from you!" Katara's voice was loud and raspy, filled with anger and accusation. She faced Azula, their eyes inches apart.
"Oh, bohoo! My daddy and mommy died while fighting some nobody soldiers. Now I am the avatar, but don't want to learn Firebending, my life is so tragic~," Azula grinned as she saw a hint of glow in Katara's eyes.
She continued speaking cruelly, eliciting even more anger from Katara, whose eyes began to flicker with a white glow, her pupils vanishing before stabilising.
"S-Stop talking to me like that! I am leaving, I don't want to talk to you at the moment," Katara turned to walk away, her hands shaking at the force of her clenched fist, her nails almost piercing her palms.
"Running away from the truth? I guess it runs in the family bloodline. Your parents must also have run from their death, quaking at the thought of dying to some nobodies, which they did die to some nobodies~," Katara stopped walking, her eyes wide and her mouth slightly open as she tried to calm herself.
"Yeah, go and walk away. I bet your parents would be at least relieved that their daughter is following in their cowardly footsteps~,"
Boom!
The pressure around the island suddenly changed. The weather instantly worsened, and the clouds turned dark. They all began gathering over the island in a spiral.
Lightning burst apart in the clouds, while fierce winds assaulted the entire island. Trees were bending, stones were thrown away with enough force to break bones, and the howls of the wind echoed across the island.
"Hmm? Stay here, Toph. I need to check someone. Go and check on Ty Lee and Mai too," Norrak sprang up from bed, putting on his clothes while Toph also jumped up, her eyebrows scrunched as she felt the fierce vibration under her feet.
"Katara and Azula are fighting... I can see it," Toph said with worry as her seismic sense spread out, painting a clear picture of vibrations as the intensity allowed her to see further than usual.
"I can see that as well... Now go and make sure nothing happens to those two, not when Katar is so enraged," Norrak vanished from place as he left his words behind.
"Haaaa! Am I a babysitter of what? I feel like I have been more mature than everyone else lately," Toph grinned before shaking her head, walking to the location of Mai and Ty Lee.
Swoosh!
A floating Katara shot towards A grinning Azula. Her injuries are healing rapidly as her Chi has suddenly increased in quantity and quality by a large margin.
Azula clicked her tongue in annoyance as she felt the speed of an Avatar state Katara. It was faster than she thought, and it looks like she will have some trouble.
"Tch! And I can't even use Plasmabending without killing her in the process... Should I... No. If I do that, Norrak will be mad, and to be honest, I don't want him to be mad with me." Azula quickly shook her head to clear her thoughts of killing Katara.
An image of a disappointed, angry and furious Norrak appeared in her mind, and Azula, for the first time, stopped to think as she opened her eyes.
She wanted Norrak's love... Not hate.
Boom!
A massive boulder shot towards Azula, whose hand was encased in a sudden shield of Blue Chi. Outside the Chi, a blue Plasma cloak wrapped around her hand.
Cling!
The boulder was sliced down the middle by Azula's hand knife, hitting the ground behind her with such force that the entire area behind Azula looked like it was littered with cluster bombs.
Swoosh!
Azula groaned as she jumped to the side, barely managing to dodge a fatal strike as her side was grazed by an invisible wind blade. Katara followed up with a jump, her palms facing each other.
Boom!
A ball of Chi, spinning in three different directions like an Uzumaki, appeared. Then, Azula's eyes widened as it suddenly gained four curves that spun rapidly, making it look like a shuriken.
"!!!" Azula shivered, her body shuddering as the wind shuriken in Katara's hand expanded in size, looking like a giant shuriken in her hand as she chucked her arm back, ready to throw it.
'Shit! I only wanted her to use Firebending in a burst of anger since it's the most common way people use Firebending for the first time... Not this,' Azula thought with knitted eyebrows as the sound of the spinning shuriken was akin to a jet.
Swoosh!
Azula's thoughts stopped as the wind shuriken flew towards her, the sound was akin to a drill, and it sent shivers down her spine. Katara, who threw wind shuriken, paused, the white glow in her eyes fading.
'Fuck! If that hit her... She is dead!' Katara thought with regret.
______________________________________________
Yeah, I decided to recreate Rasenshuriken since it could honestly be done in the Avatar universe. All it is is recreating Rasengan with Chi, and then using airbending as Wind style.
By the way, what do you guys think of Katara and Azula's interaction? I wanted to sort out their conflict, and I believe beating the person who is from the country that bombed your parents is a good way.
Leave a power stone!
