Chapter 82 - Chapter 82: 100 Year War (3)

Swoosh!

The airship cut through the air slowly, the clouds around it dark with rain pattering on the outside and distant lightning strikes echoing through the sky, illuminating the area.

'The concentration of energy is starting to increase massively every day... Does it have anything to do with Space?' Norrak thought as his Six Eyes analysed the climbing energy in the air and basically everywhere.

It started last week, but Norrak did not think much of it, as it could be just a naturally occurring surge of energy that happens. It did not stop, but continued growing every day.

'Whatever, it's not my problem to deal with it. Unless it involves Space, I have no reason to do anything,' Norrak shrugged before halting his thoughts about the growing energy.

Crackle!

"Katara, you need to increase the pressure and the rate of ice pellets colliding inside the storm if you want to create natural lightning," Norrak suddenly spoke up as the outside of the airship was almost struck by a lightning bolt.

A fist-sized square-shaped ice appeared in front of the lightning bolt, and it stopped instantly as it was dispersed into volts of energy. After the lightning dispersed, the ice broke into pieces.

"I know, but this is draining even for me. It drains my Chi at a rate that even fighting Azula doesn't," Katara spoke with a giving-up tone, her arms shaking from effort as she maintained the storm outside.

"Don't pressure yourself, you can do it with more training in the future. In the meantime, train at your own pace," Norrak smiled as he reassured Katara, who seemed like she would give up in a few seconds.

"Fine," Katara replied, her face turning into a determined expression, her trembling arms turning steady as the storm outside intensified. Norrak nodded with satisfaction.

[With Zuko...]

"Stop right there! Place your weapons down and surrender, or we will be forced to take you down!" Zuko, frowning as a wall of army blocked his way into the capital.

'What is going on? This was a planned route that would allow us to avoid running into soldiers... How did they know we would be going from here?' Zuko thought with gritted teeth, his yellow eyes burning with anger.

"Looks like one of the Generals betrayed us... Shouldn't be surprised after that Narlon guy," June spoke up with a sneer as she spoke, her eyes glaring at the soldiers blocking their way.

Chiyo flicnehd at the name, before she hardened her expression into a cold one. She isn't the same as before, and she can now protect herself and the people important to her.

"Prince Zuko, what should we do now? If we start fighting them, it would alert everyone in the surroundings, but if we give up..." General Zadan stepped forward with a troubled expression, clearly not expecting the betrayal from someone he thought was on their side.

"Well, we have no other choice. We will punch a way through their block, and whoever stands opposite of us will not be shown mercy," Zuko jumped up from Nyla, his face turning ice cold as he jumped off to the ground, facing the army.

"If you put your weapons down, the most that awaits you is prison for helping a Genocidal maniac... But if you don't put your arms down... Then you won't receive mercy from me, " Zuko spoke, and the army in front of him turned to their General for orders.

"Hmph! Don't listen to a word from this traitor! He is just trying to usurp the throne from his majesty by causing a rebellion that did not need to exist in the first place!" The General spoke with a cold smirk, and the soldiers behind him sighed in relief, gripping their weapons.

"Fine, have it your way,"

Crackle!

Without any wind-up motion, two bolts of lightning crackled around Zuko's arms, shooting towards the General, whose eyes widened at the sight of lightning.

He couldn't even react to the bolt of lightning that struck his chest, only to fry his internal organs instantly without the protection of Chi. The second lightning bolt shot into his head, turning his brain into mush.

"Charge forward and make a way through!" General Zadan declared with a shout as he charged forward, smoke drifting from his nose. The soldiers behind him let out a war cry, following behind him.

Boom!

Trails of flame shot towards Zuko, who merely swiped his hands to the side, dispersing the fire as he charged forward like a bolt of yellow lightning.

Crack!

Flames shot out from his shoulders to give him a massive boost in his charging speed, just like family.

Zuko slammed into the middle of the army, instantly stepping on a soldier's head and brutally bursting it apart, kicking skull fragments and brain parts all over the other soldiers.

The skull fragments shot out like bullets, hitting the soldiers in the eyes, and then brasin, while some who opened their mouths in surprise ahd it went into their mouths, and then through the back of their throat.

Boom!

The ground under Zuko cracked as he spun in a sweeping kick, taking about five soldiers down, breaking their knees with such force that their legs dangled in the air like a ninety-degree bend before they even took in the pain.

'I can't waste my Chi on these foot soldiers, so I have to brutally take them out with my body.' Zuko looked around with cold eyes, not taking the cries of pain into his mind as he jumped back up.

Swoosh!

Zuko kicked out a ring of harsh flames, instantly scorching an area of ten meters around him, and bringing every soldier in that area severely. The weapons in their hold turned red, instantly melting their skin and then melting onto their muscles and bones, never to be taken off unless cutting their arms off.

"AHHHH!" The soldiers cried as they collided against each other with killing intent. Spears entered lungs, hearts and even throats. Eyes fell out from random kicks to the back of the head.

Arms were snapped by accidental falls, soldiers were trampled on, their organs bursting out from their wide mouths open in a silent scream of agony and pain.

Some had their eyes and tongues burned off from a fireball hitting their faces, leaving them permanently blinded. Every injury was brutal and fatal, with no in between, especially since it was a war.

This truly revealed the barbaric and animalistic nature of humans, especially as they clawed to rip out eyeballs, bite into the throats of others, and do anything vulnerable exposed under the armour on their bodies.

As long as it was fatal, they attacked it.

Yes, boys, rate the gore level in this chapter.

I personally thought it could improve in some areas, especially in more bizarre and disgusting gore stuff, so I hope to upgrade the gore in the next chapter.
