Ever since the fight with Vaatu, Norrak had been in a coma the entire month, his body in peak condition, but his most fragile body part, his brain, was still healing.
At the rate it is going, his brain would need another month to completely heal and wake up from slumber.
The world had changed much in a single month after Vaatu's destruction, though he will still be back in ten thousand years to continue the fight to decide the fate of the world.
He was merely waiting for the time he would be reborn.
During the time that Norrak and everyone had come back from the Spirit realm, the news of Norrak's coma had been leaked by spies sent by the other nations, like the Earth Kingdom, and many smaller nations that the Fire Nation had taken over in the past 100-year war.
Those same nations started gathering firepower and soldiers in secret, hatred and vengeance spewing out from their eyes from the years and decades of oppression and unjust deaths.
Of course, with Katara, Azula and Toph being in the Fire Nation, along with Zuko, who was living a relaxing life with his two wives, Chiyo and June, nothing could go wrong with such powerhouses.
Except it did.
Many imbalances were created in the living world due to the deaths of thousands of spirits in the fight between Katara, Norrak and Vaatu.
The aftermath of the battle and world-shaking explosions had caused the deaths of many corrupted, neutral and good spirits.
The boundary between the spirit realm and the living world had weakened due to the Harmonic Convergence.
Add the fights on top of that, many weak and some powerful Spirits had escaped the spirit realm.
Those spirits started wreaking havoc and chaos on the entire world, causing the deaths of many humans, animals and whatever that lived.
In an instant, the peace that came from the overtaking of the Fire Nation had resurged back, and this time, it was even worse, with humans powerless to fight back.
The Earth Kingdom and the smaller nations also stopped preparing to fight the Fire Nation since their own antiosn were being attacked.
Of course, Katara couldn't stand back and let such thigns happen, so using her flight skills, she flew around the world, killing any corrupted spirit, while sending the neutral and good spirits back to the spirit realm with Raava's help.
Katara could have used Spiritbending to turn the corrupted spirits back to good, but she didn't do that.
Katara was not as selfless as Aang or the other avatars, especially knowing that this would cause her spirit to turn sick from fighting those corrupted spirits.
So she killed them, while sending the other spirits back without killing them, but just beating them up.
Azula and Toph, on the other hand, went to the battlefield wiht unhealthy excitement, and a hefty amount of anger on Azula's part as her marriage was being postponed.
They fought and killed the soldiers trying to attack the Fire Nation, and even the spirits that would attack villages and cities in the Fire Nation.
Toph was not burdened wiht the thought of killing, especially since she was defending her new home. Anywhere Norrak called his home was her home.
Azula, on the other hand, was not sad or burdened at all; she took joy in fighting, her strength growing at a speed visible to the eye day after day of fighting.
Zuko remained in the Fire Nation to ensure stability and prevent civil unrest or war. He managed food transportation and farming to keep the people fed.
In the end, they were human and could not teleport like Norrak. This caused them to miss places where attacks and ambushes were constantly happening.
Many buildings were destroyed, and many people were displaced and killed by the Earth Kingdom invasion and the smaller nations aiding it.
The losses were not small, but they were handled without much trouble as everyone waited for Norrak to wake up from his coma.
Once Norrak woke up, it would be all over in days, if not hours.

[Norrak's chamber...]
The sun was down, and the moonshine leaked from the window into the room, landing on the peaceful face of Norrak, who was sandwiched between Mai and Ty Lee, currently sleeping.

Norrak's white eyelashes fluttered slightly as his senses returned, his completely healed brain restarting, allowing his body functions to reach peak efficiency.
Norrak's eyes glowed blue beneath his eyelids, perceiving a panoramic view.
Norrak was analysing the entire mansion and beyond in a second, before his vision zoomed back in on the area of the room.
Norrak looked down at Mai and Ty Lee's heads resting on his chest, their arms wrapped around his tight abdomen, a leg each on his own legs.
Ty Lee stirred, feeling the movement of air, her skin shivering for a second as her eyelashes flickered open, her eyes dazed.
"Uhmm, what's this movement? Mai, are you awake- Norrak?!!!" Ty Lee screamed as she sat up straight, shock and ecstasy on her face as she looked down at Norrak, who smiled in return.
Mai's eyes shot open at Ty Lee's words, her eyes filled with shock and excitement. During these two months, the two could only lie here, watching and taking care of Norrak, not knowing if he would ever wake up.
"Norraaaaaak~, wah I missed you! I thought you were dead!" Ty Lee felt her heart start to beat like thunder, her eyes turning wet as lines of tears slid down her cheeks, her face smashing into Norrak's chest as she wrapped her arms around his waist.
Mai was calmer, a soft smile appearing on her face as she placed her palm on Norrak's right cheek, bringing her face down and kissing his cheek softly.
"I'm glad you're back, love~," Mai muttered softly, while Ty Lee continued to weep, snot and tears being wiped on norrak's shirt.
Norrak watched the two with a gentle light in his eyes, his arm wrapped around their shoulders.
"Sorry for making you two worry about me. I promise it will never happen again. Now, can you tell me what happened and how long I was sleeping?" Norrak sat up, his joints popping from two months of not moving a muscle in bed.
[After explaining everything...]
"Hmm, so that's what happened after I went into a coma..." Norrak sat on the bed, wearing fresh new clothes, and his skin was clear. A cold glint flashed in his eyes.
"Looks like I'll have to teach them a lesson they'll never forget," Norrak muttered as he stood up, Mai and Ty Lee watching with worry.
"What are you gonna do?" Ty Lee asked.
"I'm gonna ruin their economy and military strength,"
