Jay's pov:
After only students and teachers were left, I started the second part of my plan.
"To all teachers who refused to go to Section E and don't treat us equally: official complaints have been filed for misconduct and dismissal."
Half the faculty left the hall as soon as I said it. They'd earned that for the way they treated us.
"Now for the students: rules. One—spreading rumours or ruining someone's reputation will be punished severely. Two—baseless accusations won't be tolerated. Three—any clash between students that turns violent will be grounds for immediate suspension."
I knew every sentence landed on Section A and E, but that was fine — exactly what David wanted. He keeps thinking nothing will happen later. Whatever, I like the paranoia.
"And finally, a very special announcement." I grinned. "By now you all know I'm in a business—marriage proposal with Yuri Hanamitchi. At first I thought he was a nice guy, just business. Turns out he staged everything to steal me from someone else. His excuse? He said and I quote'I needed to save you from him.' like he's that strong😂" A few people giggled. Yuri's face went beet-red.
"Wait—there's more. He proposed in front of everyone and made it impossible to refuse. Not anymore. Mr. Yuri Hanamitchi: this engagement is over. Done deal."
The look on his face PRICELESS!!!!!!
He jumped up, stormed toward me and hissed, "You can't do this, Jay. Walk out of this engagement and I'll make sure Fer Corp is ruined."
He smirked like he'd thought of the perfect threat. Boy, was he wrong.
I stayed calm. Coldest voice I could manage. "Go ahead. Pull every investment you like. Or better — I'll remove you. I brought in an investor who actually believes in Kuya and has zero ulterior motives. And, Yuri you might wanna keep your phone with you,actually check your phone. You'll get a call in 3…2…1."
The auditorium fell silent. His phone rang.
He paled when he saw the caller ID. He fumbled, answered, and the head of his clan exploded on speaker.
"H: WHAT THE HELL, YURI? WHO DID YOU OFFEND?"
Yuri stammered, "W-what's—grandpa?"
H: "YOU OFFENDED THE WRONG PEOPLE. THREE INTERNATIONAL COMPANIES ARE AFTER US. YOU'RE OUT. THE FERNANDEZ FAMILY PULLED OUT OF THE ENGAGEMENT — YOU AND THAT JAY JAY ARE FINISHED. FIX IT."
The line went dead. Yuri stared at me like someone had thrown ice water in his face.
"Before anyone says a thing—yes, I did all of it. You don't get to manipulate my future. Have you looked in a mirror? You look like a roasted marshmallow." David's delivery was vicious.I almost burst out laughing heheh.....
I closed the distance between us. My eyes were a blade. "This isn't over, Hanamitchi. I'll make you pay. For now—let's see how you handle the fallout."
And I walked away, the sight of Yuri's panic searing into my last frame of the auditorium.
"Engagement: canceled. Reputation: in flames. Baby the game has just begun." 🔥
