KEIFER'S POV
The moment they wheeled Jay into the OR, something inside me snapped.
My vision blurred. My lungs refused to work. My hands wouldn't stop shaking.
Then the doors shut in my face.
And I lost it.
I slammed my fists into the wall—once, twice, again—until Aries and Edrix grabbed my arms. I didn't hear what they were shouting. I only heard the echo of my own voice:
"LET ME GO! SHE'S DYING—LET ME GO!"
Rory grabbed my shoulders, Cin wrapped her arms around me even though she was crying herself, Yuri pressed his forehead against mine, whispering, "Keifer, stop—stop—please—she needs you alive."
But I couldn't stop.
Because Jay wasn't supposed to be the one bleeding.
She wasn't supposed to be the one saving me.
"I SHOULD BE THERE NOT HER...
I WAS SUPPOSED TO PROTECT HER"
It should've been me.
I felt Angelo's arms around me next, strong and shaking.
Aries stood behind him, eyes red.
Zack sat against the wall, head in his hands.
Alex paced like he was going to punch through the floor.
Section E—all of them—filled the corridor.
Fourteen boys who never cried… yet every single one had tears in his eyes.
Then—
The doctor burst out of the OR, breathless and frantic.
"Her condition is unstable. She's lost too much blood—she needs type AB-negative, immediately! We're short!"
A cold silence froze the hallway.
AB-negative.
The rarest type.
I stepped forward instantly.
"I'm AB-negative. Take mine."
They didn't even ask permission.
They dragged me into the emergency donation room, hooked me to the machine.
As my blood rushed out, all I could think was:
Take it. Take all of it. Just let her live.
Cin and Yuri were the first to appear in front of me.
Cin grabbed my hand, tears sliding silently down her cheeks.
Yuri squeezed my shoulder so tight it hurt.
"You did good," Yuri said softly.
"She'll make it. She has to."
Slowly, the rest of Section E gathered in the room, crowding close, silent, broken, waiting.
Then the doors to the waiting hall opened—
Aries walked in with Jay's mother clinging to him, face pale, horror carved into every line.
She saw me, pale and connected to the machine, and her knees almost buckled. Aries had to hold her up.
Before anyone could speak—
A phone rang.
In the quiet, it sounded like a gunshot.
Angelo flinched and pulled it from his pocket.
STELLA — CALLING.
His breath caught.Everyone stared.
Angelo's throat tightened. "Shit… I— I have to take this."
He stepped aside, answering it with trembling fingers.
"Stella?" his voice broke, "Now's… not a good time."
Her voice was faint over the speaker—but we could hear how scared she sounded.
"What happened? I heard Section E is at the hospital—Is Jay okay? Where are you? Angelo—please answer me."
Angelo closed his eyes, swallowing hard, tears finally spilling.
"We're at St. Andrew's… Jay's— she's in surgery. She got stabbed."
Silence.
Then Stella's sob tore through the phone.
"What I'm coming there... "
And for the first time that night…
Section E truly fell apart.
Stella's POV
The moment she reached the corridor and saw all their faces — swollen eyes, blood on their shirts, Keifer barely being held upright — her legs gave out.
She collapsed to her knees.
"No… not her… NOT HER!"
Her voice cracked so loudly the nurses flinched.
David rushed to her immediately.
Stella grabbed fistfuls of his shirt, sobbing so violently she could barely breathe.
"Why David—why is God doing this to us?"
Her chest heaved.
"First Cole… now Jay… why us? WHY THEM?"
David wrapped his arms around her, but even he couldn't hold back the tears.
He buried his face in her hair, voice shaking.
"Stel… please… please breathe."
But Stella didn't.
She was spiraling — every memory of Cole and Jay every scream, every drop of blood — all of it crashing back at once.
"I CAN'T LOSE HER TOO!"
Her cry echoed down the hallway, raw and broken.
A nurse rushed over when Stella suddenly went limp — eyes rolling back.
"She fainted! Get a stretcher!"
David caught her before she hit the floor, lifting her into his arms.
"Stella… baby… stay with me…"
His voice cracked, something no one had ever heard from him.
Yuri wiped his eyes harshly.
Cin turned away, shoulders shaking.
Angelo pressed his fist against the wall, forehead pressed to it, whispering:
"Not again… please… not again…"
Even Aries — the cold, quiet one — was trembling, staring at the OR doors like he could force them open with just his fear.
---
Meanwhile — Keifer's POV
He sat on the floor, blood-soaked bandage still wrapped around his arm from where they took his blood.
He didn't even feel it.
He didn't feel anything.
He just stared at his hands — Jay's blood still under his nails.
Yuri crouched beside him.
"Keif… breathe, man… please…"
Keifer didn't look up.
"She took the knife meant for me."
His voice was empty.
"She took it. And I didn't stop it."
Cin placed a hand on Keifer's shoulder, voice breaking.
"She saved you because she loves you."
Keifer laughed — a hollow, broken sound.
"Then why didn't I protect her?"
No one had an answer.
All they could do was sit with him in that cold corridor — Section E, beaten and bruised, every single one of them crying silently.

A Nurse Steps Out
Everyone froze.
The nurse looked pale.Terrified.
"We've stabilized her for now… but—"
Her voice cracked.
Everyone leaned forward — afraid to breathe, afraid to hear the next part.
The nurse swallowed.
"There's… complications."
Keifer stood up so fast Yuri had to grab his arm to steady him.
"W-What complications?"
His voice was barely human — gravel, desperation, fear.
The nurse's eyes softened.
"The knife… it pierced deeper than we expected."
Jay's mom covered her mouth, choking on a sob.
Angelo felt his knees weaken.
The nurse continued quietly:
"She lost a dangerous amount of blood.
Her heart stopped twice on the table."
Keifer staggered back like he'd been punched.
"No…"
His voice cracked.
"No, no— that's not— she's strong— she—"
David put a hand on his shoulder, but Keifer shook him off violently, steps unstable, eyes wild.
"What are her chances?"
Aries asked, voice sharp, but trembling underneath.
The nurse looked down.
"We're doing everything we can. But right now… she's fighting."
"Please do not loose hope"
Keifer's chest collapsed in on itself.
Silence Fell
No one moved.
The only sound was:
Stella — regained consiscous starring at the op room
Keifer breathing like he might drown.
Jay's mom whispering prayers under her breath.
Yuri rubbing his face with both hands.
Cin wiping at tears he didn't even notice were falling.
Aries frozen tears strolling down.
Zack pacing.
Alex sitting with his head bowed.
Angelo staring at the floor, fists clenched so tight his knuckles went white.
Everyone.
Every single one of them.
Breaking.
Keifer's POV
He walked — slowly — until he stood right in front of the OR doors.
He touched the cold surface with his trembling hand.
"Jay…"
His voice shattered.
"Jay, please… don't stop fighting."
His forehead pressed against the door.
"I can't lose you too."
His voice cracked.
"I won't survive it."
Yuri took a step toward him, but stopped — because Keifer's knees buckled and he fell to the ground again.
He didn't sob.
He didn't scream.
He just… broke.
Silently.
Completely.
The strongest one among them.
---
Inside the OR
Machines beeped erratically.
Doctors shouted orders.
Jay lay still — pale, fragile, barely breathing — as they fought to keep her alive.
Her heartbeat spiked.
Then dipped.
Then—
A flatline threatened.
But a doctor screamed:
"NO — she's not done! Push 2cc more!"
A shock.
Another.
A heartbeat returned.
Weak.
But there.
Still fighting.
Still holding on.
---
Back in the Hallway
The nurse returned again, trembling.
"We need someone to sign a consent form. There might be… another surgery."
Keifer stood up immediately, voice raw:
"I'll sign it"
"What's your relation with the patient?"
"She's MRS WATSON MY WIFE"
Keifer approached the nurse.
Hands shaking.
Heart bleeding.
Eyes swollen.
" So Whatever you need," he said softly.
"Just… just save her. Or else I'll burn this damn hospital ..."
Hours later.....
Keifer stood the whole time, staring at the OR doors like if he blinked, he'd lose her.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity—
The surgeon stepped out.
Everyone jumped to their feet.
He removed his gloves, face exhausted.
"The surgery was successful," he announced.
A wave of relief hit the hallway — gasps, sobs, shaky breaths.
But then his expression tightened.
"…however," he continued softly, "Jay has slipped into a coma. We've moved her to the ICU for close monitoring."
The relief shattered instantly.
Keifer stumbled back, hitting the wall, breath leaving his lungs like he'd been punched.
Angelo caught him before he fell. Yuri wiped his face. Cin broke down completely.
Aries closed his eyes, fists trembling at his sides.
Jay's mother's cry echoed down the corridor.
And Keifer—
He whispered, voice breaking:
"I'm right here… Jay… I'm not leaving you."
As they wheeled her past in the ICU bed, tubes and wires everywhere…
He followed.
Every step.
Every breath.
Like he was afraid she'd disappear if he didn't.
"Don't worry Jay I'll burn the world if it means you'll wake... "
