Chapter 13 - 12

The next morning, Yin Weiyao got up early, made sandwiches, heated milk, and then changed her clothes and prepared to go to the studio to start work.

Before leaving, she sat on the edge of the bed and ruffled Yi Yufei's messy hair, whispering, "Don't oversleep. There's breakfast on the table. Heat it up in the microwave later. Remember to eat it."

He was still half asleep, and he mumbled something in a hoarse voice, frowned, and turned over.

Yin Weiyao left quietly.

When Yi Yufei woke up, the alarm had already gone off several times. He pressed his forehead hard, threw back the quilt and went to the bathroom to take a shower. When he was brushing his teeth, he saw the tattoo on his waist again in the mirror. This reminded him of more than a year ago, when Yi Tongxi had coerced and lured him to a tattoo parlor in the south of the city, called Qinglong Hall. The walls inside were covered with photos of works with dragons and phoenixes dancing, which was extremely Jianghu.

He was originally unwilling to go, thinking that it was extremely stupid to spend money to suffer, but who knew that Yi Tongxi actually used the method of provocation, saying that he was timid and had no guts, and then ran to take the lead.

The tattoo was on her waist, so she had to lift up her clothes. The tattoo artist was a man, and he felt it was inappropriate, so he stood to the side and watched.

After applying the anesthetic, Yi Tongxi took a deep breath and grabbed his hand as soon as he started tattooing. The machine made a slight buzzing sound, which was really scary. She started crying after a while, and she couldn't stop. The tattoo artist said that the waist was more painful than other places, and suggested that she tattoo half of it first, or give up. But she refused to give up.

Yi Yufei remembered that his hand was almost crushed.

After it was over, she looked at him with tears in her eyes, as if she had suffered this crime especially for him, and if he didn't express something, it would seem very unkind.

Is this considered making trouble out of nothing? If he could, he would rather have it tattooed on the sole of his foot, so that people would not see it when he played basketball in the future and think he was a non-mainstream person.

...

Yi Yufei suddenly smiled, buried his head and rinsed his mouth, splashed his face with cold water, and his mind was a little clearer. He put on his clothes, saw that it was not early, walked to the living room, saw breakfast on the table, which was already cold, and there was a car key next to it. Yin Weiyao left the car for him.

He didn't have much of an appetite, but after thinking about it, he still ate a couple of mouthfuls, then grabbed his keys and went out.

First, he called Yi Huailiang and learned that he had arrived at the restaurant and was ordering food. Then he called Yi Tongxi, who had just left the house and was near the school. Yi Yufei went to pick her up.

On Saturday, there were few people on Xueyuan Road, and most of the shops were closed. When I saw Yi Tongxi, she was standing on the side of the street, looking down at her phone.

It was a cold day, and she seemed to be wearing a little too little. She had on a long, light pink coat, and inside was a white T-shirt or a pullover sweatshirt, it was hard to see; her jeans were tight-fitting, with a few holes, and looking at her long, slender legs, she definitely wasn't wearing long underwear.

She slung the black chain bag across her body, put her phone in the bag, and probably because she was a little cold, she tiptoed, then turned around, looked at herself in the glass mirror of the store, and tidied herself up from top to bottom, with her half-long hair pulled back behind her shoulders.

Yi Yufei hadn't seen her for a long time, and at the moment he only felt that she was very eye-catching, and not just a little bit pretty.

He withdrew his gaze, drove the car to the front and turned it around, then stopped in front of her and honked the horn.

Yi Tongxi didn't know he had driven here, and thot he wasn't waiting for her. He opened the door and got out of the car: "Xixi."

Her eyes were a little surprised and a little confused. She met his eyes, and after a few seconds, she raised the corners of her mouth and smiled, her eyes curved into a pool of bright moon.

"How long have you been waiting?"

"Not long." She sat in the passenger seat, fastened her seat belt, and asked, "Where did this car come from?"

"A friend lent it to me." He said, turning on the heating, "Aren't you cold?"

"Not bad."

In the closed carriage, he smelled the faint perfume on her body, which was very light and slightly sweet, like the bath fragrance left on the body after taking a bath, making people feel warm and clean.

Yi Yufei couldn't help but turn his head to look at her. She had put on makeup, her eyelashes were curled up, and her lips were bright red. It wasn't too gaudy, but it made her look very healthy. Her eyebrows were already thick, and after a little trimming, they were slender and natural. Paired with a round oval face, she was seven parts pure and three parts charming.

I knew long ago that she had the ability to be charming.

Yi Tongxi also turned to look at him.

This person has had a lot of hair since he was a child, and he doesn't like to cut his hair short. He has always been parted on the side, and sometimes his bangs will hang down and sweep his eyes. Today, they are all combed up, revealing a neat forehead, clear eyebrows, and a few more mature.

Yi Tongxi said, "Did you put hair wax on? It looks so stiff."

He grabbed at it with his hand, and a strand of bangs fell down again: "Is there? It's okay."

Well, the atmosphere became subtle. Both of them found that the other had dressed up specially. How embarrassing!

Yi Tongxi looked out the window, silent, and he didn't say anything.

After a while, she asked, "Where's Dad?"

"I'm already at the restaurant."

Yi Tongxi lowered her head and played with her fingers: "I heard from my grandfather that you are renting a house outside now."

He tapped the steering wheel with his fingers and gave a soft "hmm".

After Bai Lihua passed away, they handed over the money left in the bank to their maternal grandfather to manage. The tuition and living expenses were still transferred to their cards in an orderly manner as before. This could maintain a balance and prevent them from becoming children without any supervision.

Yi Tongxi didn't respond, waiting for him to continue.

Yi Yufei tightened his hands, his knuckles a little white, and his Adam's apple moved: "I have a girlfriend, and I live with her now."

"Actually, there is space at home, you don't need to rent a house," she immediately said, "Anyway, it's empty, why add an expense, don't be silly and spend money."

"Home, how can I go home?" he answered randomly. "It's not that I'm wasting money. I didn't plan to continue living at school."

"Is that so?"

"Well... to be precise, I should be the one moving into her apartment, but I can't let a girl pay the rent, that's not right."

Yi Tongxi sneered, "You're quite generous."

Yi Yufei was noncommittal: "I'm in her debt, I just want to live more comfortably, and beside, she's actually richer than me, this car is hers too..."

Yi Tongxi interrupted: "So, you originally had the opportunity to live off a woman, but you were too proud to do it."

Yi Yufei smiled wryly: "What's with all the fuss? It's just a relationship. We respect each other equally and each contributes. She doesn't care about those things. Anyway, the two of us put a sum of money aside for daily expenses, and she always allocates it well."

"Okay, you can shut up now." Yi Tongxi slowly took a deep breath. "Anyway, starting this month, I'm going to ask Grandpa for an extra 1,000 yuan for living expenses, otherwise it's not fair to me. You can keep a woman, but you can't touch my money."

How could you say such a thing? Yi Yufei frowned, both angry and amused. "Let me explain. I didn't ask my grandfather for more living expenses. I paid the rent myself. I had some lucky money saved from before, and the money I earned from working during the summer vacation. I had at least ten or twenty thousand yuan. Do you think I'm like you, spending as much as I have, without any plans?"

Yi Tongxi said, "So what? I'm willing. And I didn't ask you to spend money on me."

Yi Yufei glanced at her, understood what she meant, and stopped talking.

When they arrived at the restaurant, Yi Huailiang had already been waiting in the private room for a long time. He was afraid that they would be hungry when they arrived, so he ordered the dishes first. Now he handed the menu to Yi Tongxi and asked her to see if she wanted to eat anything else.

If it had been before, she would have ordered two more of the most expensive dishes to make him pay, but today, she didn't know why, but when she saw him, she didn't feel as disgusted as before.

Look, there is nothing in the world that is absolutely immutable. Don't be so sure of yourself.

Yi Huailiang came back this time for Bai Lihua. He only recently learned of the news of his ex-wife's accidental death, and was greatly shocked. The incident happened half a year ago, but no one notified him, and he didn't even get to see her one last time.

In fact, the funeral arrangements and the notification of relatives and friends were all handled by the eldest aunt and the third aunt. Obviously, they deliberately avoided Yi Huailiang, unwilling to associate with him, and even hoped that Yi Tongxi and Yi Yufei would completely sever their relationship with him.

"How could this happen? She was so young, she shouldn't have..." Yi Huailiang sighed: "I'm sorry for her, I couldn't help her much over the years, I let her raise you alone, I..."

He took out a bank card as if to atone for his sins: "There is 200,000 yuan in this card. You are still in school and will need it. If you need anything in the future, just tell your father."

Yi Yufei was silent for a moment, then said, "Xi Xi, keep it."

Yi Tongxi glanced at him and took it over: "Thank you, Dad."

Yi Huailiang was so moved that he could not stop crying.

After dinner, he planned to go to the cemetery to pay homage to Bai Lihua. Yi Tongxi didn't want to go with him and left on the pretext of something else.

In the evening, she called Yi Yufei: "Are you done with your work? Are you still in Nanshan?"

"I'm back."

"Where's Dad?"

"He's been sent back to the hotel. He's leaving the day after tomorrow."

Yi Tongxi said, "Then come and find me, let's talk about the money."

"What?"

"200,000 yuan, don't pretend to be stupid, Yi Yufei."
