So… this isn't your typical dark fantasy romance, but I promise, it won't disappoint. It's a slow-burn story set in a world completely detached from real-life logic, rules or modern society. It's a purely fictional realm with its own laws, magic and mysteries.


Our female lead isn't the "fall-in-love-at-first sight" Nope. She's anti-romantic (For now) She's got bigger problems to deal with, like monsters, secrets and soul-shattering revelations, so romance takes a backseat for a while. But don't lose hope now– it'll be worth the wait.


And yes… she will have more than one man trying to win her over, much to her frustration ( and maybe yours too hahha)


I recommend you read until chapter 15-20 before deciding if it's for you. The story really picks up there once the world starts revealing its layers, and I hope you'll stick with me for the journey.


(Now a bit about the world- can be a spoiler)


A long time ago, desperate humans   turned to forbidden rituals to seek divine powers and bring back their loved ones who had been victims of the "Hallowing Plague." It worked… kind of.


But the souls that came back weren't alone– they were bound to relics known as the Soul Shards.


Each shard is a fragment of a god.. or something pretending to be one. It holds dangerous, divine energy. To possess one is to hold both power and destruction.


Those who can't control it risk losing their minds, turning into abnormal monsters and tearing open rifts between realms.


This story takes place in Lumeris, a gaslamp fantasy city full of Gothic towers, massive citadels, and rain-slicked cobblestone streets. Think late 18th- 19th century vibes. Nobles, commoners, and outcasts all live under the same misty sky– each holding a secret of their own.


Then there are temples. Vast, neo-gothic sanctuaries that play important roles in the story. 


So yeah… buckle up, grab a snack and welcome to the world of Soul Shards. It's dark, magical and a little chaotic– but that's the fun part of it all! <3
