"I've went ahead and scheduled a tag team match for the two of you. Your opponents will be the former SWF Women's Tag Team Champions, the Beastly Beauties." Black Mask told Black Maria and Dark Mistress.
"B-But Boss, we just got back from that intense training camp. Our bodies aren't really in good enough condition to fight yet. We just need some rest for now." Black Maria said, feeling uneasy about disagreeing with Black Mask.
"I think you two can handle it just fine. Do you think I'm wrong Maria?"
"No sir, it's just-" Black Maria tried to respond, but she was cut off by Black Mask.
"If you don't think that I'm wrong then this conversation is pointless. You two will be fine, trust me. Your training has made you stronger than you realize." Black Mask said while placing a hand on their shoulders. "If you two can win despite the circumstances, I'd be incredibly proud of you both."
Black Maria and Dark Mistress were both deeply encouraged by Black Mask's words. Suddenly they were ready to step in the rings without any complaints. When the event started, they made their way to the ring without hesitation.
"How did you get them to change their tune so quickly?" Night Queen asked.
"It's simple. I've discovered something while I've spent the last several days with those two." Black Mask responded. "Did you know that those two highly value my approval?"
"Yes of course, everyone who's ever met them knows that." Night Queen thought. "Is that so? I hadn't noticed." She said with feigned surprise.
"Yes, I was surprised to learn this as well. I still don't understand why they feel such a need to win my approval, but still I think it could be a good tool to motivate them in times like this."
"I pity those two, my darling is totally oblivious to their feelings towards him. How sad, nothing like the relationship between me and him." Night Queen thought. Ironically oblivious to the fact that Black Mask was oblivious to her feelings towards him as well.
Meanwhile, Black Maria and Dark Mistress had made their entrance to the ring where they stood across from their opponents, the Beastly Beauties. The Beastly Beauties consisted of a women's division top contender Jade Jaguar and former SWF Women's Champion Chelsea Cheetah. With Black Maria and Dark Mistress both being exhausted from their intense training this seemed like an impossible match to win.
The match started with Dark Mistress and Chelsea Cheetah in the ring. Chelsea quickly took control of the match. Steamrolling Dark Mistress without much resistance, she then threw her into the corner where Jade Jaguar waited to tag in.
"Jade tags in here. She's certain to be looking for payback for the broken arm she suffered in Dark Mistress's debut match against her." Ted announced.
"That's right. She attributed the fact that her arm hadn't fully healed to her team's back to back championship losses to the now SWF Women's Tag Team Champions The Samurai Sisters." Bill added.
Dark Mistress ended up getting double teamed by Chelsea and Jade as Jade entered the ring. Jade continued the dominant attack that Chelsea started, eventually getting Dark Mistress in a tight ankle lock.
Black Maria was forced to jump in to break the hold. She then got back in position in the corner so Dark Mistress could tag her in properly. However, she didn't fair any better as she was also easily beaten down by their opponents.
"Perhaps you pushed them a bit too hard this time darling." Night Queen told Black Mask as they watched on from ringside.
"Tch, if they can't handle this much then they're no use to me." Black Mask replied coldly.
"That's a bit harsh, even for him." Night Queen thought to herself. "I can't shake the feeling that he has some sort of dark aura around him, but I must just be imagining things. I'm sure he's fine. It couldn't happen again, right?"
Back in the match, Black Maria and Dark Mistress continued to be on the wrong side of a one sided beating.
"This bad we don't have the energy to fight back." Black Maria thought to herself.
"Hey, hey, Maria. Hey Maria." Dark Mistress said as she poked Black Maria through the ropes.
"What do you want right now! Can't you see I'm in the middle of something here!" Black Maria snapped at her.
"Oh geez, if you have the energy to scream at me you should use it on our opponents." Dark Mistress pouted. "Plus, I was just going to say these guy's attacks don't even hurt that bad."
"Huh? Now that she mentions it. I don't feel as tired as I thought I did. And she's right, these attacks pale in comparison to the intense training that the boss put us through." Black Maria thought.
The two suddenly started a violent counterattack that put the Beastly Beauties in trouble. "What's going on? How did they suddenly gain control of the match like this?" Night Queen wondered.
"It's a simple mental block. Your body is capable of far more than your mind realizes. If you can push yourself past those mental limits then you can push your physical abilities to new levels." Black Mask answered. "Girls! Finish it with the move I showed you!"
"You got it Boss!" Black Maria responded.
Both Chelsea and Nade had been knocked out of the ring by Maria, but Chelsea was the legal woman in the match. Chelsea managed to make it back on the apron of the ring. Dark Mistress then wrapped her arm around her head in a guillotine choke and drug her out to where Chelsea was draped over the apron. Black Maria then jumped off the top rope and hit Chelsea in the head with an elbow drop as she dropped to the ground.
"Oh! That's the Moonlit Guillotine!!!! That's a special tag team move that Black Mask used to use when he was in a tag team with Twilight Killer! What a treat it is to see it performed here!" Ted announced excitedly.
Chelsea was thrown back into the ring so Maria could cover for the win. Jade tried to get into the ring to help her teammate, but was stopped by Dark Mistress putting her in a sleeper hold.
