Chapter 74 - Maybe Forever

The party is as lavish as always, Raiden thought to himself as he strode through the main banquet hall of the event palace. The royal family spares no expense when it comes to maintaining their dignity. 

Irritation bubbled within Raiden's heart, though he couldn't understand why he felt that way to begin with. He was a part of the royal family, too, albeit hidden in shadows and only used as a pawn. 

Well, I am not here to bathe in self-pity anyway. He then shook that unpleasant feeling off, glancing around the grand banquet hall. I came here to enjoy the party. Finally, I have a chance to rest without having to deal with annoying ex-hookups. 

He caught a glimpse of himself in a large window, adding a few little adjustments to his already impeccable attire – he was dressed like a prince, though his black mask added a rather eerie touch to his overall appearance. 

If he were to be reborn in the past, he would have probably been called the prince of darkness.
