Chapter 11 - Chapter 10: Revelation

The night before the wedding, Edward couldn't sleep—not from excitement, but from the storm of doubt and guilt that now haunted him. His love for Margaret, once buried under rage, was stirring again, disturbed by the truths clawing their way to the surface.

Then came another call from the mysterious voice.

"Hello?"

"Cheers to your tragic wedding, Lord Powers," Vincent mocked.

Moments later, Jude arrived with two brown envelopes.

"Satisfy yourself, Lord Powers," he said, just as the call ended.

Hospital Grounds – Same Day

Freddie, Vincent's agent, slipped into the hospital's quiet wing. He called Vincent.

"Boss, I'm here."

"Get the final document," Vincent replied.

Freddie disguised himself as a doctor and infiltrated Dr. Harry Gates' office. Inside, he found the doctor's phone and several vials of potassium chloride—a dangerous drug if misused. He bagged everything and left.

Later—

"Boss, I got the documents, the phone, and the vials. I think they were used to silence Lord Martin."

"Good job," Vincent said, handing over payment.

Vincent then called the hospital's CMO under the alias Michael Lopez. He confirmed the drug was legal—but Dr. Gates' lack of records could ruin him.

Dr. Gates returned to his office and found it ransacked. Panicked, he asked a nurse:

"Did anyone come in here?"

"I thought it was you, Doc. A man came in earlier."

Then the phone rang.

"Hello?"

"How's the paid doctor doing?" Vincent whispered. "You know Margaret had nothing to do with Lord Martin's death."

"I don't know what you're talking about," Gates stammered.

"Really? You sound scared."

"I'll have you arrested!"

Vincent laughed.

"I have everything—Margaret's pregnancy records, Lord Martin's real cause of death. If I deliver these to the mansion, you won't be able to deny a thing."

Gates froze. How did this caller know everything?

"You know how angry Edward Powers can get, right?"

"I don't know what you mean!" Gates shouted.

"Oh, and thanks for leaving your phone behind, Doc. I've got a bonus gift for Edward, I'm sure you will get your shit out of you once he finally knows what his good doctor doing behind his back" Vincent said before hanging up.

Vincent's Rented House

"This house is beautiful, Michael. But isn't it too big for just us?" Margaret asked.

"What matters is we're safe—far from Ed—" Vincent stopped.

"Ed? Who's that?" Lauryn asked.

"Just a classmate you used to hate," Vincent lied.

Wedding Day – Tyra's House

"Congrats, girl!" her friend cheered.

"I told you—Edward still loves me. One word from me and he follows like a dog," Tyra bragged.

"If not for your lies, you wouldn't have him," Paulie muttered.

Tyra glared. "Shut up!"

In her anger, she dropped the ring box. It shattered. She remembered Edward's warning about wedding superstitions—but dismissed it.

"Girl, it's 10:00 AM. Isn't your call time 11:00?"

"Let him wait," Tyra said coldly.

At the Mansion

Edward was about to leave when he saw a courier.

"Document delivery for Lord Edward Powers."

"I'm Edward Powers," he said, signing.

Then the caller rang again.

"Best wishes, Edward Powers."

"Who are you?! Why are you doing this?" Edward shouted.

"Relax. Open your gift first. Then you'll see how foolish you've been. You'll be destroyed soon enough."

Edward rushed to the study, heart pounding. Inside the envelope were photos—Tyra pouring grease on the stairs the day he returned from Spain. Also included was Dr. Gates' phone, with messages between him and Tyra.

Vincent called again.

"Now you know how demonic the woman you're marrying is. But it doesn't matter—you deserve each other."

"No… no…" Edward whispered, trembling.

"You're not human, Edward. You're a monster. You didn't just hurt Margaret—you killed your own children," Vincent said, twisting the knife.

"Where's my wife?!" Edward cried.

"Ask Tyra. She holds all the answers," Vincent replied.

"Oh God… what have I done?" Edward sobbed hestical.

"And what will Marilyn say when she learns you lost her beloved sister—and what you did to Margaret?"

"Please… I'm begging you…" Edward pleaded.

"I don't care about you. Just remember: you killed your children. You sent them to Saint Peter early."

Vincent hung up.

Edward read every document. Memories flooded back—his cruelty, his blindness to Tyra's lies, his deafness to Margaret's pleas.

Overwhelmed by guilt and rage, Edward screamed—a cry that shook the entire study room.
