Yun Guoqun didn't need to search the entire underworld for Fu Ziya; he already knew where to find her. If captured by the demon generals, they would most likely take her to the underworld palace, a place that wouldn't be difficult to find. A large castle stood just beyond his sight. Yun Guoqun gripped his sword tightly. He wouldn't be careless in attacking the palace of the demon world's high-ranking officials; he had to find Fu Ziya first.
Yun Guoqun stopped in front of the building. As before, the walls of the building simply opened, forming an entrance for him, allowing him to enter easily without being noticed by the guards standing at every corner.
Yun Guoqun moved like a shadow, hiding when he encountered patrolling guards, or killing them if they discovered his presence. The place was vast and filled with maze-like rooms. Yun Guoqun pressed his hand against the wall, channeling his power throughout the building, trying to locate Fu Ziya.
His power touched something, creating a strange feeling within him. It wasn't Fu Ziya's power. It felt so strong, yet so gentle at the same time, drawing his own power closer, his strength so attracted to this new power. Just as he was about to identify the power that was constantly pulling him, he finally sensed Fu Ziya's power in the distance, faint but still powerful. She was still fine.
Yun Guoqun moved invisibly, running toward Fu Ziya. Suddenly, his footsteps stopped, motionless. His feet ignored the dark, empty hallway before him, his energy reaching for the door on the left. The largest door he had encountered so far, stood solid with unfamiliar carvings on its front. The double-leaf door exerted a sense of oppression even before he entered.
Inwardly, Yun Guoqun clicked his tongue, unable to resist his fighting instincts at the sight of such powerful energy. He didn't know if this was the right decision or not, but he had to follow his inner voice, compelling him to enter the room.
The door opened, letting in light before closing tightly, plunging into complete darkness. Normal eyes wouldn't be able to see anything in the room, but Yun Guoqun could feel anything. He could sense someone standing before him, as if waiting for his arrival.
Yun Guoqun's observation was interrupted when something crawled up from below. Yun Guoqun dodged it effortlessly. The figure made a displeased sound, but still didn't say a word. Attack after attack continued to come, something moving in the darkness, trying to catch him from every direction. Yun Guoqun swung his sword and slashed at it.
It seemed Yun Guoqun had irritated the figure in the darkness. This time, something larger came charging at Yun Guoqun, striking his arm, leaving a thick, bloody stench in the dark room. Yun Guoqun wasn't hurt, but he could feel something draining all his energy and blood.
Yun Guoqun continued to dodge while hiding behind a pillar. He faintly saw a dark mark on his left arm, but he wouldn't be defeated in this situation. Yun Guoqun took several deep breaths, closed his eyes, and focused his power on a single point. His senses sharpened, his wounds no longer bleeding, and his expression colder than before.
"I can sense that you're no ordinary person. But isn't barging into someone else's residence a bit rude?" The voice was softer than he expected, and it continued to ring in his ears. As the voice lingered, Yun Guoqun realized that the figure was trying to trap him with sound.
The enemy was naive if she thought she could defeat him with just sound.
Yun Guoqun gripped his sword tightly. The figure stood not far away, facing him, hiding behind a pillar, waiting for him to emerge so they could engage in a more serious battle.
He stood up, and after opening his eyes, his movements became incredibly swift, his hand raised, ready to swing the ice sword, which had already been brimming with cold vapor. The figure was taken aback by Yun Guoqun's sudden attack and deftly deflected Emperor Yun's ice sword. The two powerful forces collided, creating a tremendous explosion of energy. Cold air filled the room, followed by a bluish-white light emanating from behind the shield that blocked the ice sword.
Yun Guoqun was frozen in place. The figure behind the light was clearly visible: a woman in a long white robe that swept the floor, her long silver hair fluttering, revealing a small, pale face adorned with bright blue eyes. Yun Guoqun had never seen such beautiful blue eyes in his life.
The ice sword's power was so powerful that it penetrated the figure behind the light's defenses, but she managed to dodge. The figure suddenly smiled, a natural curve of its lips, adding to the beauty that had been so evident from the beginning. "Heh... you've broken through my defenses." The figure brought its palms together and touched the floor. Yun Guoqun was too late to defend himself, and the terrifying tendrils caught his legs and dragged him down. More tendrils came, pinning his entire body to the floor. Yun Guoqun couldn't move his arms freely.
The figure walked closer, each step producing blue flowers. Her steps were light and inaudible, so soft they could melt.
"You're no ordinary human. Are you from the upper realm? I suppose you should know not to be swayed by your enemies. Are you mesmerized by me?" The figure laughed softly, a voice still lacking the pressure of her power. In fact, her voice made you believe she wouldn't hurt you. Yun Guoqun tried to move his bound hands.
The figure was now standing directly in front of him, her body bent, and at that moment, Yun Guoqun could see the face more clearly. A face that truly exuded gentleness, and those eyes, still as blue as before, but this time, Yun Guoqun could see a mist covering it. Like a sky covered by clouds.
Behind the figure, large thorns were poised to pierce his entire body, but Yun Guoqun still couldn't take his eyes off the figure who was still standing before him. "And you're quite powerful too, demon emperor." He didn't need to think hard about who the figure was. Someone with such powerful energy couldn't possibly be an ordinary demon; she could even withstand an ice sword for so long.
The demon emperor suddenly stopped, speechless, her pupils dilated. The grip on his entire body loosened, and a brilliant ice sword shot out from behind the demon emperor, its sharp tip aimed straight at her back. The demon emperor's surprise ended when she dodged. Yun Guoqun let go, caught the ice sword, and gripped it tightly. A silver sword emerged from his left hand, ready to counter any attack from the demon emperor.
But the attack never came. The figure simply stood at a distance, Yun Guoqun unable to see its hidden face. He took the opportunity to flee.
The demon emperor, Qi Yi, let his footsteps grow farther and farther away. Her eyes might not be able to see anything, but her ears were not.
