Chapter 14 - Gift to Kushina

At 3 a.m., under the stillness of the early morning, Team 46 set off with Karin and her mother, Hiroko Uzumaki. The group moved steadily, the soft crunch of their footsteps the only sound breaking the silence of the journey.

Yagami used Genjutsu Sharingan on the gate garuds of Kusa, without the elders notice, Karin and Karin's mom got out.

"Come on, hop on," he said with a grin.

Karin hesitated for a moment but eventually climbed onto Yagami's back.

As they continued, Yagami struck up a conversation. "Aunt, I just realized—I don't even know your name."

Hiroko chuckled softly. "Glad you asked. My name is Hiroko Uzumaki. And you? Who's your mother?"

A/N: Hiroko is mother of Karin, meanwhile Hiruko is Konoha Missing nin, don't confuse with the names my dear readers.

"My mom's name is Uchiha Isami," Yagami replied proudly. "She's a chief surgeon at the hospital."

Hiroko's eyes brightened with a knowing smile. "Well, it seems I've gained more family than I thought. I'd love to meet Isami."

Yagami grinned, pleased by her warm response. The rest of the journey passed quickly.

By 8 a.m., the team arrived at Konoha's gates. The village stood bathed in the golden morning light, a welcome sight after the long trek.

Ryu immediately reported to the Hokage, detailing every part of the mission. Hiroko and Karin were given accommodations while the Yamanaka clan was called in to assess their memories.

Hiruzen "It seems, Yagami got an asset to the village, this will help Kushina stablize"Ryu "I hope so Hokage Sama, he was thought full, also he is good at diplomatic talks"Hiruzen "Good, Good, nice seedling indeed, nothing less expected from Kagami's grandson haha ha"Ryu got out, compelteing the mission.

As the news of Hiroko's arrival spread, Kushina, sitting at her breakfast table, froze mid-bite. Her heart skipped a beat as memories of her childhood flooded back.

"Hiroko... she's here?" Kushina whispered, her voice trembling.

Without waiting for an answer, Kushina bolted out the door and made her way to Hiroko's location.

Hiroko was sitting with Karin in their temporary quarters when the door burst open. Kushina stood in the doorway, her fiery red hair disheveled from the rush, her eyes wide with disbelief.

"Hiroko? Is it really you?" Kushina's voice wavered as she stepped inside.

Hiroko stood slowly, a mixture of shock and joy washing over her face. "Kushina… after all these years..."

The two women closed the distance in seconds, embracing tightly.

"I thought I'd never see you again," Kushina murmured, tears streaming down her face.

"I didn't think I'd ever make it back," Hiroko replied, her voice choked with emotion. "You look just like I remembered."

Kushina laughed through her tears. "And you haven't changed a bit either, still as calm and steady as ever."

They pulled apart slightly, and Kushina turned to Karin. "And who's this little one?"

"This is my daughter, Karin," Hiroko said, resting a hand on her shoulder.

Kushina knelt to Karin's height, her eyes soft. "Well, aren't you adorable?."

Karin blushed, unsure how to respond.

Kushina straightened up, turning back to Hiroko. "We've got so much to catch up on. Come on, you're not just staying in a guest house. You're family. I'm taking you home."

Hiroko hesitated, her heart full. "You've already given us so much—"

"No arguments!" Kushina declared with a grin. "We Uzumakis stick together, always."

The room filled with laughter as the long-lost friends reunited, their bond rekindled after years apart. Hiroko felt the warmth of home seep into her heart, and Kushina's joy was palpable..

With Karin settling in, Kushina and Naruto gained a new companion. Naruto, brimming with energy, immediately took a liking to his new playmate.

"Hey!" Naruto announced proudly, standing tall in front of Karin. "I'm Uzumaki Naruto, future Hokage of the village!"

Karin tilted her head, studying him curiously. "Why isn't your hair red? Aren't you an Uzumaki?"

Naruto pouted for a moment before puffing out his chest. "My dad is the Fourth Hokage! His hair is blonde, so mine's blonde too. And just you wait—I'll prove it when I become Hokage! Datebayo!"

Karin giggled at his determination. "Alright, alright. I'll believe you… if you actually become Hokage."

Naruto crossed his arms with a smirk. "Just watch me! I'll be the best Hokage ever!"

Meanwhile, the news of Hiroko and Karin's arrival spread quickly through the village. The Elders were pleased, seeing Hiroko's presence as a positive influence on Kushina, whose mental health Minato had worked tirelessly to stabilize. With Hiroko back, Yagami's unique connection to the Uzumaki and Uchiha clans also became evident—someone else who could offer Kushina the emotional support she sometimes needed.

Later that day, Kushina, Hiroko, and Yagami sat together while Naruto and Karin played outside.

"You know," Kushina said, leaning back with a smile, "having you here is like a piece of my childhood returned. You don't know how much I've missed this."

Hiroko reached over, squeezing her hand. "I feel the same. And it looks like Naruto and Karin are already getting along."

Yagami chuckled. "Naruto's got enough energy to befriend the entire village. But it's good to see Karin smiling. She needed this."

Kushina nodded, watching the children. "It's amazing how things have turned out. Hiroko, we've got so much to catch up on. And Yagami, Thank you so much, I thought my life is over when Minato and Kaito were dead, you opened a new chapter in my life"

Yagami laughed, holding up his hands in mock surrender. "Father will be happy to see you two reunited from the pure world, that's all I wanted."
