I couldn't believe what I just saw.
Tears filled my eyes, the old man and his grandson had been killed.
The old man died while trying to shield his grandson.
"This can't be real… Why? Why?" I screamed, pulling my hair.
Everyone stared at me as I cried out. My mind kept repeating, Kill… killed…kill…killed…Rage burned inside me, I'll find out who did this…
Tears fell down my face as I shouted in anger, "Who did this?!"
People stepped back, whispering that I might be dangerous.
Again, I shouted, "Who did this?!"
The bodies were thrown outside like trash. No one responded. A few people stood a few meters away, laughing and saying,
"What a show."
One man kept insulting the dead bodies of an old man and his grandson again and again. My mind was blank except for the anger boiling inside me, anger at those who laughed and insulted.
Without hesitation, I walked straight over. It took only a few seconds to reach him. I grabbed his hair before he even had time to react. Maybe I was too fast. Holding him by the hair, I asked,
"Did you do this?" He was frozen, shakingly, "N… no… no… I didn't."
"Then why are you laughing?" In a cold, dark voice
I threw him with such force that he landed on top of other people, knocking them back as well. The others whispered to each other,
"Let's go… let's get out of here… he doesn't look normal."
I stepped closer to the man and asked again,
"Did you see who did this?"
His voice was shaking as he said, "It was Wen Yu, the young master of Blue Pine Valley." I remembered his face only half an hour before I met him.
I lifted the bodies of the old man and the boy, placing them carefully on a table near the shop. No one dared say a word to me. Then I headed to the place where I had seen Wen Yu, but when I arrived, there was no one there. I stood quietly for a few minutes, recalling Wen Yu's voice, trying to focus on where it had come from.
My qi spread out like waves, searching through individual voices. At last, I heard it about two hundred meters away. I ran toward the sound. Finally, I saw him, laughing with his guards nearby.
Anger boiled inside me so fiercely that I didn't see anything else. I shouted his name, "Wen Yu! Why? Why did you do that?"
He didn't look confused, it was as if he already knew what I was talking about. He gave me a dirty smile. As I got closer, his two bodyguards stepped forward to stop me. One suddenly threw a punch, but I was ready, ready to kill or get killed.
I saw his punch in slow motion, and even though he struck first, I landed my punch faster.
He stood up and drew his sword and the other guard drew his as well. The two of them attacked together, but they moved so slowly, almost like in slow motion, it was easy to dodge their blows. I punched one guard, sending him flying into the air, then punched him again before he hit the ground. The ground cracked loudly where he landed.
The other guard was afraid and stepped back, but in a moment, I was behind him. I kicked him hard and blood spilled from his mouth. I took his sword and slash, cut him into two.
I didn't even blink, blood splash on my face, and my eyes were lifeless empty, as if if I don't have a feelings.
Again took the sword and charged at Wen Yu. As I approached, I sensed something flying toward me. A small knife sliced through the air, but I blocked it with the sword. More knives came, drilling toward me relentlessly. I gathered my qi and punched one away, but I still felt a small cut on my finger. I knew then that he was strong, he could also control the qi.
He massaged his head and whistled. Knives came faster this time. His sword moved with incredible speed. It was hard to keep up, but I refused to give up. Swing after swing, his sword cut deeper. He laughed and said, "You're nothing."
My anger grew even stronger. I closed the distance and punched him with all my strength, but he threw a knife between us. The knife broke in two but still cut my hand deeply. I was losing blood so much and felt dizzy.
(Not now… not now.)
At that moment, I felt my dantian glow bright yellow. I saw the deep cut on my skin start to heal itself.
(You're not going to get away,) I thought.
I ran at him again. This time he threw a thousand knives, but I punched through them, breaking them into pieces.
My skin was cut and healed over and over. I fought through all his sword strikes, coming closer to him. For the first time, his face showed shock and fear as he looked around for help,
"How that's possible, his skin regenerating," Wen yu in disbelief.
Finally, I reached him and landed a powerful blow to his face.
Bang…!
His jaw shattered under the force of my punch.
I hit him as soon as he landed one punch after another. I didn't give him a chance to rest. Left, right, left, right, I kept swinging until my hand was covered in blood. He was coughing up blood too.
I put all my strength into a right hand blow and sent it toward him. Just before it landed I felt something move behind me. I dodged. Whatever it was slammed into the ground with a lightening sound.
It looked like a knife, but it wasn't a real blade, it was shaped from his qi. When I turned to look, I saw an old man watching. He had a long white beard and wore expensive, ornate robes.
"You know what you did, you committed treason," he said. "You must die."
Blood dripped from my knuckles as I pointed at him. "You shouldn't have interfered, anyone who opposes me today will die."
he answered. "You've crossed Pine Valley itself. There's no way out for you, only death."
A cloud of dark red and black qi formed around him, and from that cloud, knives made of that qi appeared.
I dodged the first two, but the third disappeared when it was near me and then struck me, piercing my body. I screamed not from pain but from anger. The wound started to regenerate on its own.
The old man looked shocked, then sent hundreds of those qi‑knives at once. I punched at them, when I hit it,it just,
"Puff," it just disappeared.
But when any of them slammed into me, they pierced deep.
I felt a surge of energy bursting from within me. That strange stone emerged from inside, whirling around me at incredible speed. It spun in a perfect circle, forming a shimmering shield that wrapped my entire body.
I advanced toward him, but this time the stone merged with my hand, reshaping itself into a weapon yet still acting as a shield at the same time.
I charged at the old man. He throw a storm of knives at me, but the spinning stone shattered them all. I could even hear the sound of the blades splitting apart.
"How is that possible?!" he shouted.
Each time the stone broke one of his qi-knives, it absorbed their energy, feeding me power. I grew stronger and stronger with every step.
Finally, the old man began to move step back, fear flickering in his eyes. I went forward and threw a punch, but he dodged. Even so, the force of my blow shattered the wall behind him.
