"So tomorrow is my coronation. Does this mean I'm going to be the next King of this Kingdom?" While thinking out loud, Steve started to feel a prickling sensation in his head. Though it began as a mere sensation, as time passed, he felt as if his head was going to explode, and he fainted.
When he woke up some time later, he suddenly realized he now possessed the memories of another life, one in which he lived as Chris Redheart, the Prince of Phoenix. As these memories of two lives started to coalesce in his mind, he could feel the throbbing in his head subsiding.
He got up from the bed and walked towards the window, and stuck his head out facing the setting sun. While looking at the sun that's going into hiding between two mountains, feeling the gentle breeze of the fresh and unpolluted wind, all he could think was, "This feels good".
When he finally turned away from the window, he noticed a painting on the wall. After observing it for some time, he realized it was his own painting, or, nevertheless, the painting of the previous owner of this body.
While thinking about the previous owner of his body, he recalled the old memories and realized what kind of person he'd been.

Chris Redheart, the Second Royal Prince of the Kingdom of Phoenix. As he was the second prince, he always thought that his elder brother would be the crown prince and then ascend to the throne. Consequently, Chris became a lazy and abusive person who always mistreated his servants and never took anything seriously, and thereby received the ire of all the people around him.
This was also due to the way his elder brother treated him during their childhood, as he made it his mission to constantly bully him then and remind him that never to even dream about achieving something and always live in his shadow. These incidents had effectively crushed any ambition Chris might have possessed.
All this led him to gain the identity of a useless scoundrel and a drunkard. While he spent his time throwing his weight around and mistreating others, the full extent of his bad behavior was known only to his servants and family members; the citizens, for the most part, remained unaware of his true nature.
Everything changed six months ago when his brother, then the Crown Prince, led an expedition to a border nation next to the Kingdom of Phoenix with an army numbering 50,000. His goals were to conquer the territory, prove his worth, and please his father, the King.
However, the moment the battle felt a bit unfavorable, the First Prince of the Kingdom of Phoenix fled the battlefield, abandoning his troops. This cowardice resulted in the entire force being wiped out.
In the aftermath, the common people rioted, pushing the kingdom to the brink of civil war. Consequently, despite strong protests from the nobles who supported the First Prince, the Queen, and the prince himself, the King was forced to strip the First Prince of his title. As the only remaining male heir, Chris was then reluctantly made the new Crown Prince.
