Rested, Tatsumi practiced shurikenjutsu. Precision required practice, but his Level 3 skill let him hit a target 50 meters away with ten shuriken in seconds.
He threw five shuriken, then another five, accelerating the second set to collide with the first, sparking and hitting the target simultaneously.
"Cool," he admired, ignoring the two that missed.
His Level 3 skill helped him realize his right hand's force was off.
"System, don't you dare suggest it's because of—"
"No such thing. You're only five!"
He trained more, mastering angles and force, then practiced kunai throwing from Kagami's scrolls. Unlike shuriken, kunai were melee weapons, but the Uchiha had a technique to make them collide mid-air, changing their trajectory—a trick that fooled experienced ninjas.
Imagining it paired with Flying Thunder God, Tatsumi trained enthusiastically, earning 30 more points.
Remaining Ninja Points: 1240
Disappointed the trio was gone, he headed home. Tomorrow's academy start excited him—his first step to becoming a ninja.
Under the moonlit, cool night, Konoha's streets buzzed with people enjoying peace. Despite only five years in this world, Tatsumi felt an ever-present anxiety.
Passing the commercial district, he saw a long line at a shop with red lanterns—Ichiraku Ramen, not the red-light district.
The aroma made him salivate. "Finally, a decent meal."
With a coupon in his pocket, he joined the line, which included ninjas, civilians, and tourists. By the time he reached the counter, he was half-asleep.
"Two large bowls of tonkotsu ramen!" he called.
"Coming right up!" the owner replied.
The current owner wasn't the legendary Teuchi, who was just a ten-year-old boy, not yet the iconic ramen master.
"Teuchi, serve the customer!" the owner roared.
Tatsumi marveled. Was that the lost Lion's Roar technique?
"Got it, Dad," Teuchi replied, lacking his future mystique.
"Hey, it's you again, little brother," Teuchi said, recognizing Tatsumi, a regular.
"Little brother?" Tatsumi grimaced. "I can eat it all."
"I'll be watching," Teuchi teased.
The ramen was divine. "Teuchi, can you make this?"
"I can, but not as good as Dad."
"You're amazing," Tatsumi said sincerely. So talented yet humble.
"Is there a secret ingredient?" Tatsumi asked, noting his chakra recovered faster after eating.
"No!" Teuchi shook his head vigorously, looking nervous.
"I know there's something!" Tatsumi pressed.
"There's nothing!" Teuchi's face reddened.
"Why do I feel so full?"
"You ate too much."
Quick answer.
"You're no ordinary guy, Teuchi."
Teuchi whispered to his father, "Dad, he might've figured out our secret recipe…"
