Chapter 33 - Chapter 33 — Eat My Crescent Moon!

Chapter 33 — Eat My Crescent Moon!

"Fighting side by side with Lord Third Generation? I get to fight Orochimaru?"

Izumo Kamizuki stared at the panel in disbelief, his pulse quickening. Without hesitation, he selected Kage-level difficulty.

He was already an elite Chūnin — between the Jōnin and Kage tiers, it made sense to aim high. If this difficulty meant facing Orochimaru, then there was no reason to hold back.

"I choose Kage-level difficulty!"

The words had barely left his mouth when the scenery shifted around him.

In the blink of an eye, Izumo found himself standing on the battlefield atop the roof — the same one where the Third Hokage had once faced Orochimaru.

Not far away stood Orochimaru, grinning with his serpentine charm, and beside him were the First and Second Hokage, resurrected through the Impure World Reincarnation.

At Izumo's side stood Sarutobi Hiruzen, already in a battle stance, summoning the Monkey King Enma.

"Lord Third Generation!" Izumo called out respectfully.

But this wasn't the real Hiruzen — only an NPC, unmoved by emotion. His eyes stayed fixed on the Hokage before him as he said calmly, "I'll deal with the strongest — the First Hokage. Can you handle the Second?"

"Understood, Lord Third!" Izumo replied with a nod.

There was no time for further words.

The Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju, moved.

One instant he stood still — the next, he vanished.

When he reappeared, it was right in front of Izumo, the Flying Thunder God kunai already slashing toward him.

"Water Style: Water Blade!"

"So fast!" Izumo gasped, his pupils contracting as he barely raised his Zanpakutō to parry.

Clang!

Steel met steel, sparks flying.

But Tobirama's attack had been only a feint. As Izumo blocked, the kunai — marked with the Flying Thunder God seal — embedded itself in the ground nearby.

Tobirama retreated instantly, forming three rapid hand seals.

"Water Style: Water Dragon Bullet!"

A massive dragon of churning water roared toward Izumo. At the same time, Tobirama's body flickered — reappearing behind him using the marked kunai.

"Flying Thunder God Slash!"

He was being attacked from both sides. Death felt inevitable.

But Izumo Kamizuki wasn't the same weak Chūnin he once was.

"Iron Body!"

His muscles locked as his skin gleamed metallic. At the same moment, Armament Haki coated his body like black armor.

Tobirama's simultaneous front and rear attacks struck — and did nothing.

"Huh?"

Even the normally composed Second Hokage paused, shocked. This ability — this unnatural hardness — wasn't something a ninja should possess.

Izumo smirked. As the Hokage's attacks rebounded harmlessly, he dismissed his Iron Body, tightened his grip on his Zanpakutō, and coated the blade in Haki.

"Crescent Moon Rush!"

A massive arc of black sword energy exploded outward, cleaving through the air.

Tobirama tried to teleport away again — but Orochimaru's corpse quality limited his movements. He wasn't fast enough.

The crescent slash caught him mid-escape, tearing through half his body before he turned to dust and disintegrated.

Normally, the Impure World Reincarnation would regenerate him instantly, but in this dungeon, immortality was restricted for balance. The Second Hokage was officially defeated.

Everything froze.

[Ding!]Congratulations, you have successfully cleared the Kage-level difficulty! Do you wish to end the dungeon?

[Note:]Completing additional objectives will yield greater rewards.

"So if I defeat the First Hokage and Orochimaru, I'll get more rewards... Then I'm not done yet!"

The battlefield resumed.

The First Hokage, Hashirama Senju, stopped attacking Hiruzen and turned his attention toward Izumo.

"Wood Style: Deep Forest Emergence!"

Massive trees erupted from the ground, roots twisting and expanding until a dense forest filled the rooftop.

"So this is the First Hokage's Wood Style... incredible!" Izumo muttered, his expression tense. He could feel the chakra within the roots — draining, suffocating. Once caught, he'd be finished.

"There's no room to dodge… then I'll cut straight through!"

He tightened his grip. "Crescent Moon Rush!"

The black blade beam tore through the trees, slicing a path open. Using the gap, Izumo charged straight for Hashirama.

"Sorry, Shodai…"

He raised his Zanpakutō again, Haki flaring across the blade.

"Eat my Crescent Moon Sky!"

"Wood Style: Wood Locking Wall!"

The First Hokage quickly raised a grimace-faced wooden shield to block —

BOOM!

The crescent slash collided with the shield in a thunderous explosion. For a moment, they held even — then the wooden face splintered and burst apart.

The black energy carved directly into Hashirama's chest. His body shattered, scattering into glowing dust that faded into the air.

"Only Orochimaru left…" Izumo exhaled — but when he turned, the snake Sannin was nowhere to be found.

The ground trembled faintly.

Of course. The moment the fight turned against him, Orochimaru had fled.

"...Figures," Izumo sighed.

[Ding!]Dungeon cleared. Rewards are being distributed!

A light curtain descended from the sky, wrapping around Izumo. His wounds healed, his chakra restored, and a treasure chest appeared before him.

He opened it — and his eyes widened.

Inside were ten C-rank ninjutsu, five B-rank ninjutsu, three A-rank ninjutsu, and one S-rank ninjutsu, all adaptable to his chakra nature.

And at the bottom — a potion capable of increasing his chakra tenfold.

Because he had cleared the Kage-level difficulty, he automatically received the rewards from all previous levels — Genin, Chūnin, Jōnin, and Kage.

The rewards were astonishing. Izumo could feel his power surge several times over.

Meanwhile, back with Su Li —

[Ding!]Izumo Kamizuki has cleared the dungeon "Konoha Collapse" (Kage-level difficulty)! Host receives corresponding rewards: tenfold Chakra increase, ten C-rank ninjutsu, five B-rank ninjutsu, three A-rank ninjutsu, and one S-rank ninjutsu!

(Note: Tenfold Chakra is relative, not absolute.)

[Ding!]You have earned 4,000 system points!

Su Li grinned, eyes lighting up. The system's progress bar had taken another huge leap forward.
