Chapter 79: Orochimaru, Do You Want Immortality?

Hokage's Office.

Knock, knock.

"Come in."

Su Li paused what he was doing and spoke calmly.

A moment later, Sasuke entered from outside.

"Your Excellency, we've brought Orochimaru back."

"Yeah. You've worked hard."

Hearing this, Su Li nodded.

Although Orochimaru's strength was formidable, the loss of his hands had greatly weakened his combat ability.Combined with Mitarashi Anko's newfound power, it wasn't surprising that he couldn't win against her.

"Yakumo, I'll be away for a while. If anyone comes looking for me, tell them to wait."

"Okay, Mr. Su Li."

After giving his instructions, Su Li's figure vanished from the spot.

On the other side—

Orochimaru lay on the floor, silently analyzing the situation in his mind.

But no matter how he thought about it, he couldn't figure out what was going on.

He had clearly taken the manga from the Sand Shinobi. So why were Konoha's people after him?

Then he remembered Anko's words — "You took something you shouldn't have."

Could it be… that those manga actually originated from Konoha?

Orochimaru frowned deeply, lost in thought.

Suddenly, a figure appeared in the room out of thin air.

"Your Excellency!"

Mitarashi Anko immediately straightened up and greeted respectfully.

When she had been lost and despised for her past, it was Su Li who had given her power — and purpose. He never rejected her for being Orochimaru's former disciple.Because of that, Mitarashi Anko's respect for Su Li came from the depths of her heart.

Temari, standing nearby, also greeted politely.

"Well, you two may go."

Su Li nodded and spoke evenly.

"Yes, Your Excellency."

"Understood."

Knowing they weren't meant to witness what came next, Anko withdrew the spiritual chain that bound Orochimaru and left with Temari.

Watching them go, Orochimaru narrowed his eyes slightly.

He could tell that Anko's respect for Su Li wasn't just formal — it was genuine, almost reverent.

What shocked him even more was that, judging from Anko's words, this man in front of him was Konoha's Acting Hokage.

Orochimaru never imagined that after the Third Hokage's death, Danzo had not only failed to become Hokage, but that such a young man would take the role of Acting Hokage instead.

And from this man—Orochimaru couldn't sense any visible aura of power at all.

If Anko hadn't called him "Your Excellency," Orochimaru might have passed him in the street without a second glance.

Of course, Orochimaru wasn't foolish enough to think Su Li was truly ordinary.

In this world, the stronger one became, the more they concealed their presence.Su Li radiated exactly that kind of quiet, terrifying restraint.

The next moment, Su Li took a single step forward.

"What—?!"

Orochimaru's pupils shrank.

For a split second, the world seemed to blur. Su Li had already crossed the space between them, standing right before him.

As if that single step had transcended distance itself.

Orochimaru couldn't even react.

If Su Li had attacked him just then—he would already be dead.

A chill ran down Orochimaru's spine.Every cell in his body screamed danger.

He was now completely certain.

This man—was a powerhouse far beyond his comprehension.

Su Li looked down at Orochimaru lying on the floor and spoke calmly:

"Nice to meet you, the infamous Lord Orochimaru.A word of advice — don't try anything foolish. You'll die."

At that moment, Orochimaru froze.Behind him, a small snake he had secretly released to escape turned to ash.

A crushing pressure radiated from Su Li.Orochimaru felt as though some unseen predator was watching him, ready to strike if he so much as twitched.

"Who are you? What do you want from me?"

Orochimaru swallowed hard, forcing the words out.

He wasn't stupid. If Anko had wanted to kill him, she would have done it already. The fact that they'd captured him instead meant Su Li had a purpose.

But then Su Li's next words made Orochimaru's eyes widen in shock.

"It doesn't matter who I am," Su Li said evenly. "What matters is that the power Anko and Sasuke wield — came from me.And I can grant that power to you as well."

"What…?"

Orochimaru was stunned.

From him?

That overwhelming speed he couldn't track — the bizarre shadow-stepping technique — all from this man?

His breathing quickened involuntarily.

The reason he had fallen into this pathetic state…was because Anko's sudden power had completely overwhelmed him.Power that easily surpassed decades of his own research.

Su Li's tone remained calm, but his gaze cut through him like a blade.

"Orochimaru, I don't like wasting time. Let me ask you—Do you want to become stronger?Do you wish to understand the true essence of life?Or…"

His eyes narrowed, voice dropping to a whisper that carried like thunder.

"—do you seek immortality?"

The words slammed straight into Orochimaru's heart.

Su Li had touched the deepest core of his obsession—eternal life.

Orochimaru had always believed that the human body contained untapped power.Endless knowledge.Endless ninjutsu. He only needed enough time — enough life — to uncover it all.

Although he didn't yet know who Su Li truly was, those words… were far too enticing.

"Hehehe… I don't know who you are," Orochimaru rasped, his trademark smile twisting across his face, "but what you're saying is… interesting."

"Interesting?" Su Li replied, a faint smirk tugging at his lips."Did you think I was joking?"

As he spoke, a manga appeared out of thin air in his hand.

Its title: "How Many Danzos Can You Beat?"

"This is—?!"

Orochimaru instantly recognized it.A realization dawned in his eyes.

Seeing his expression, Su Li smiled faintly.

"So you understand. That's right. The manga you obtained—was created by me."

At that, Orochimaru's pupils dilated in shock.
