The skies above Valmorion darkened — not with clouds, but with wings.
Six hundred and three angels soared in perfect formation, their radiant spears glimmering like stars. At their head flew Uriel, his divine aura blazing like a second sun. Below, the King of Valmorion stood before the castle gates, watching in awe as the army of heaven cut across the sky.
Please… let this succeed, the king thought, his heart pounding.
Behind him, Rafael's voice echoed calmly through the great hall."Stay here," he told the king. "Let my angels handle this."
The Battlefield
When Uriel and his legion reached Valmorion, chaos awaited them. Smoke rose from the burning fields. Countless demons rampaged beneath the crumbling walls.
Uriel's voice carried across the battlefield, commanding and unyielding:"Angels of the Legion — CHARGE!"
Wings flared. Light spears rained. The clash of divine and demonic forces shook the very air.
But while thousands fought below, Uriel's gaze locked onto one figure — a towering Demon Commander, his armor black as the void and eyes glowing crimson. The two stood apart, staring at one another through the storm of battle.
Uriel descended slightly, remaining high above the ground."Demon… begone."
The commander smirked, his voice sharp and cruel."Make me."
Without hesitation, Uriel raised his hand. "Judgement."
A column of light speared from the heavens — bright enough to blind the mortal eye — but the Demon Commander twisted aside with impossible speed, the blast carving a crater where he had just stood.
Uriel's eyes narrowed."I see… agile."
The demon crouched, claws digging into the earth — then launched himself upward. The ground exploded beneath him as he rocketed toward Uriel. Uriel barely twisted aside, the shockwave splitting clouds apart.
The Demon Commander landed with a thunderous impact, cracking the battlefield in half."Come down, angel!" he roared."Face me on the ground!"
Uriel's voice was calm, unwavering."Nothing will change, even if I come down. You will face my judgment either way."
He extended a hand."Skill: Divine Gravity."
A golden field spread across the battlefield, forcing all weaker beings to their knees. The Demon Commander's body trembled under the pressure, his limbs shaking — but then he roared and broke free through sheer force of will.
Uriel's eyes glimmered with interest."Impressive. It seems you may give me a worthy fight after all."
He unsheathed his radiant sword, its edge humming with divine energy."Skill Two: Celestial Radiance!"
His entire body blazed with white fire, attack and defense surging by twofold.
Then — he moved.
Uriel blurred forward with speed that shattered sound. The Demon Commander barely managed to dodge each blow, Uriel's strikes slicing through stone, collapsing towers, and splitting the air itself. Every near-miss left glowing arcs of destruction across the ground.
Finally, Uriel halted midair, his wings flaring wide."Are you just going to run this entire battle? Come — face me properly, demon!"
The commander grinned, wiping black blood from his mouth."You think I can't beat you just because I've been running? Fine then — I'll show you real power!"
He roared, demonic energy erupting around him."Skill: Demon Enrage." His speed doubled instantly."Skill: Hell's Cage."
A crimson barrier expanded outward, sealing both combatants inside. The air shimmered as the outside world vanished.
Uriel felt the magic compressing around him.
A restricted field... I can't escape, and neither can anyone enter. Clever.
The demon vanished from sight — then reappeared above him. Uriel barely dodged, a streak of red grazing his cheek. Blood glimmered against his golden armor.
Uriel smiled faintly."So your first spell enhanced your speed… and the second created this barrier. Interesting. But if I can't fly freely, then I'll bring the heavens down to earth."
He descended slowly, wings folding. The Demon Commander sneered."Finally… you come down. Prepare for your end!"
He charged, his claws wreathed in flame.
Uriel stood perfectly still.
Standing and not moving… is this a trap? the demon thought. No, he has no skill that traps me… he's finished!
Three centimeters from striking distance—
Uriel's eyes flared."Divine Gravity!"
The Demon Commander froze mid-lunge, his body forced down by an invisible weight. He screamed, straining with all his might — but this time, the spell was stronger, fueled by divine focus.
"What… did you… do to me?!" the demon roared.
Uriel lifted his hand once more."Judgement."
Golden chains erupted from the air, binding the demon's limbs. The crimson field around them shattered like glass.
Uriel's expression was calm, merciless."And now," he said, voice echoing across the silent battlefield,"you will face judgment."
From the heavens, a colossal sword descended — a blade forged of pure light, stretching across the clouds.
The Demon Commander roared one final time—
Then silence.
The sword fell.Light consumed everything.
When it faded, the commander's body lay headless upon the ruined ground.
Across the battlefield, the remaining demons screamed — and fell. Their commander's death broke their will, their bodies collapsing one after another.
The knights on Valmorion's walls stood in stunned disbelief. Even Lyra, her armor cracked and bloodied, could only stare."That… that speed demon… defeated in moments…" she whispered.
Uriel landed softly among the fallen. His armor was scratched, his wings dimmed, but his presence still shone with divine authority.
"Gather the wounded," he ordered. "Honor the fallen."
Five hundred and thirty-six angels bowed as one.
And as the dawn broke over Valmorion, the angels carried both the injured and the dead — returning to Rafael's castle, where their king awaited the report of Heaven's victory.
