Chapter 74: Muggleborns
---The Next Day---
It can be seen that Harry is actually a good teacher, when he teached someone people could easily understand it. He also knows the weakness of the student and knows to fix the movement.
When the class started, at first it was Dudley who gave the introduction, setting the tone for what they were about to learn. The room buzzed with anticipation as students listen to him carefully, some clenched their fist and when Dudley told them that they need to take out their wand some of them gripping their wands nervously, others brimming with excitement. Then, Dudley began teaching them how to use Expelliarmus.
Surprisingly, quite a lot of students didn't know how to use it properly, even Ron had difficulty to cast the spell, some student weren't fast enough to cast it effectively. It was clear that even something as simple as a disarming charm could be difficult for a students.
No wonder when Death Eater launched an attack, they just escaped without fighting back.
Dudley specifically choose to teach them Expelliarmus is because of this spell is the most iconic spell in Harry Potter arsenal. The only spell he ever used to confront Voldemort and it worked twice. The first time was in the graveyard, and the second was during their final battle.
Knowing how proficient Harry was with the spell, Dudley pushed his cousin forward and told him to observe the students who were still struggling.
Harry nodded seriously and moved through the room, watching them carefully. Dudley stood back, watching Harry from afar.
He did a good job, guiding the students who were weaker, muttered Dudley while watching his cousin fixed the posture of the student. Dudley almost couldn't stop laughing when Harry passed by Cho Chang. Internally, Dudley mocked Harry as a "Hormonal Human."
---Fake Galleon---
The first class went well, and before they could leave, Hermione once again stopped them.
"Wait a minute, everyone, take this," said Hermione while holding a big pouch. Ron dived his hand in first before taking something out from her pouch. His body froze, shocked by what he was holding.
"Hermione, you gave me a Galleon? I've never had one before," said Ron while holding his galleon on right hand while closed his mouth with his left hand.
"This is not a real Galleon," replied Hermione. Ron looked disappointed and a bit sad, but because he had never held a Galleon before, his eyes still lit up as he looked at the fake one.
One by one, they took the Galleon from Hermione's pouch, even Dudley and Harry received one.
"Okay, listen," said Hermione. "This is a tool of communication for the Dumbledore Army Club. The coin in your hand will heat up, and that means there will be a change in schedule for the next class. The master coin will be controlled by me to remind you all about it."
"You are a genius, Hermione," complimented Dudley.
Hermione smiled. "The only thing I'm afraid of is if someone mistakenly uses this fake Galleon to make a payment."
"I would never mistake this Galleon for real money, because I've never had any galleon money before," muttered Ron.
Pfftt! Ron, why are you so funny? It almost made Dudley laugh.
"Is this the same as Voldemort Dark Mark?" commented Harry and some people flinched hearing his name.
"In fact, I got the inspiration from him," replied Hermione calmly. "I found a Protean Charm and decided to use it."
"Did you make this by yourself?" commented one person from a group of Ravenclaw students.
"Yes," replied Hermione.
"What are you doing in Gryffindor? You should have been in Ravenclaw," said the student from Ravenclaw.
"Actually, the Sorting Hat suggested that I enter Ravenclaw, but I insisted on joining Gryffindor," replied Hermione.
"What a disaster," they replied.
Dudley clapped his hands to gather their attention. "So, for the next class, we will announce it through the coin. And please remember, do not mistake this fake Galleon for a real one when buying something. This coin is important and will be our tool to communicate in the future."
---Muggleborns---
Like yesterday, when the other students were leaving the room, only Dudley and Harry followed by Susan, Hannah, Hermione, and Ron were the last ones to step out.
But this time, Cho Chang and Marietta Edgecombe were clearly waiting for them. No, they were waiting for Harry Potter.
'Did she want to pursue Harry now? This damn lucky boy,' thought Dudley internally. But then he noticed that not everyone was leaving. There were also Alice Daisy and a group of students waiting nearby.
Okay, it looks like they're not here for Harry. Maybe for me, he decided, then approached them.
"Yes, what can I do to help you guys?" asked Dudley.
"Mr. Dudley," said Alice Daisy. She had become the unofficial spokesperson for a group of second-years. "We're Muggleborns, and we heard you are too. So, how will you prepare for You-Know-Who attack?"
Yesterday, Alice had gathered the second-year students to learn about the Dark Lord and the First British Wizarding War. The more they read, the more afraid they became.
Dudley unconsciously activated Legilimency on her and managed to read her. No wonder they never appeared in the original series, he thought. It looks like me, as a Muggleborn wizard and a brilliant one too made these fellow students look up to me. They've formed their own group.
"So, you lot are Muggleborn wizards?" asked Dudley.
They nodded. Their actions didn't go unnoticed even Cho Chang, who was waiting for Harry, was clearly eavesdropping on their conversation. Harry and the others were listening as well.
Dudley muttered a command for chairs, and the room shifted to provide enough seating for them.
"Okay, sit down first," ordered Dudley.
They followed Dudley and everyone sat in their chairs.
"So, did you find out what the Dark Lord.... no, we don't call him the Dark Lord, we call him BaldyShorts because he's bald," Dudley joked, trying to ease the tension. It worked, some of them smiled.
"Yes, we did. So, what would you do?" asked Daisy again.
"Are you unofficially their leader now?" Dudley asked, pointing at her.
"Aargh!" She didn't expect Dudley to say that.
"Yes, she is our leader," a boy from the group replied.
"Wow, so you're her boyfriend?" teased Dudley.
The boy who had just spoken turned from pale white to deep red.
"Okay, just kidding," said Dudley. "I've done my best to protect my family. The first thing I did was make sure they owned a gun."
"Gun?" That answer was unexpected to them.
"You live with Muggles, so you must know what a gun is, right?" asked Dudley.
They nodded, but Marietta Edgecombe, Hannah Abbott, and Cho Chang looked confused. What is a gun?
"I gave the gun to my parents and made a rune. When more than seven wizards come near their place, the device will light up and alert them. That way, my parents can react and hold the gun for protection. I can even design the seal so that any wizard who teleports near the house will trigger it."
Dudley then looked up at Cho Chang and the others, and his head snapped toward Harry.
"Harry, I think you guys need to go out first. This meeting only involves Muggleborn students," said Dudley.
