The Underworld was a sprawling city, full of industrial factories and cheap apartments. After bidding farewell to Mango, watching the shifty man slink off, and nearly being mesmerized by the pink haired girl again, I asked Sela where to go, to which she said to fuck off.
To that, I wandered off. It took some time, but I found out that I had a one month free apartment, which was on Vein street. It was a modest apartment, with a rickety bed and a weak light bulb, but it was good by the Underworld standards, the landlord had said.
After locking my door and keeping my keys close, I begin searching the city for my only chance of survival, money. Whether I stole it or earned it, I needed money to pay for rent and food. But I also wanted to do some research. I wanted to learn more about the God-force, as well as the Blessings of the Gods and the Boons they give. After the train, I yearned for more knowledge about Titans.
However, this knowledge was mostly likely restricted. I would have join the God-force to get access, and to do that, I would need to receive a Blessing of the Gods. I doubt they would accept a sinner like me to share their power, but I could try.
'Money first, research later.'

At first, I thought I would work in a factory. But when visiting one, an accident happened, and a guy got his head removed from his body by a saw, and the boss started to cry about lost production, and how he was going to have cut wadges from five coins to three for the week, and I decided that factory work was not for me.
The next place I tried was at a blacksmith, but the man inside told me to sell my liver, as it was an easy way to make money. The guy at the cobblers store said the same. In fact, most of the workplaces I went to weren't open to my help.
But strangest of all, I felt people staring at me. Some with greed, some with malice, or hate. They looked as if they wanted to stab me and sell my organs, and judging by the fact that organ shops were fully stocked and people were disappearing, I'd say that is a common occurrence.
Some other strange things happened as well. The shifty guy from the train was following me, and multiple people asked some very personal questions, like where I lived, and what my name was, and if I was busy tonight, all of which I ignored.
Returning to my apartment, after losing the shifty guy, as well as others who began to follow me with surprising expertise, I laid down and thought.
'What a day. Getting money is going to be way harder than I thought. Not only does nobody want to hire me, but all the jobs pay less than my allowance per week. The only upside was that some girls asked me if I was open tonight... What am I saying? They're probably like the girl on the train, trying to take my money. I hope I get better luck tomorrow.'
As I closed my eyes, I heard a sharp knocking on my door.
My eyes shot open as I looked up in confusion. Nobody should be knocking. Mango doesn't know where I live, and I lost all my stalkers. I crossed the room and opened the door.
The man that stood beyond the door was stunning. He was tall, with silky black hair, dyed gold at the tips. His eyes were a similar shade of gold as mine He wore many golden necklaces, and wore a black jacket with flecks of gold sprayed around. His fingers looked as they were dipped in molten gold, and he had a tattoo on his neck, of what appeared to be a pile of coins.
"Hello. My name is Midas of the Underworld. Maybe you've heard of me?"
