Chapter 11: The Mind over might
The ground was still trembling. The air still intense.
Kelvin stood there, shirt torn, half his face filled with blood and ash, his body showing calm destruction. His eyes glowed faint blue — the color of control. Across from him, the clone stood hunched, rebuilding its inner organ and shattered spine piece by piece. The air between them pulsed like a living storm.
Then there was silence— thick, dangerous.
Then the clone laughed.
It was not a human laugh — it was like a glitching phone sound of Kelvin's own voice. Its tone vibrated through the field, deeper, darker, dripping with murderous intent.
"So," it hissed, flexing its regenerating fingers, "you still don't want to give up after witnessing my power, hehehe?"
Kelvin tilted his head, blood dripping from his chin. "we are not equal," he said, calm but cold. "Cause I am superior ."
The clone's grin widened. "We'll see."
And then — the world exploded.
The clone vanished, turning into a blur so fast that even the light seemed to bend around it. A sonic crack split the air — and suddenly, Kelvin's left cheek tore open. He hadn't even seen the hit.
Another crack. Another strike. Then another.
Kelvin was sent flying backward, crashing through a half-collapsed ridge. Dust engulfed him, and the world trembled under the force. His ribs screamed, his bones shook — but he smiled through the blood.
Because even as the clone charged again, Kelvin was already thinking — calculating.
Mind Action active.
The world slowed down. His thoughts became light. Every fragment of sound, every shift in air pressure, every grain of dust became visible in his mind. His mind could instantly control his body without using physical control.
"Too predictable," he murmured — and his body moved on in an unhuman way.
Every action he imagine his body performanced.
He twisted sideways, ducking just before the clone's fist blurred past, tearing through the dust cloud. In the same instant, Kelvin countered — elbow up, palm strike forward, leg sweep spinning under — each motion guided by perfect mental control of the body.
The clone tried to block, but Kelvin was faster. Not because of speed — but because his thoughts were speed.
[Mind Action Synchronization: 99.8% Perfect.] [Reflex Enhancement: +20% Efficiency Bonus.] [System Bonus: +15💎.]
Their bodies collided again, movements so fast they teleported into a series of invisible shockwaves without actually teleporting. The sound lagged behind the action, reaching the ears seconds too late.
BOOM. BOOM. BOOM.
Kelvin ducked, pivoted, and spun low — slamming his knee into the clone's ribs. The clone's body bent sideways, but instead of staggering, it grabbed Kelvin's leg and hurled him upward with monstrous force. Kelvin's body crashed through a fragment of floating stone, cracking it apart mid-air.
Before Kelvin could land, the clone appeared above him — both fists raised.
Kelvin's mind flickered. Swap.
"Stat Swap — 5% Agility → Durability!"
The change was instant. His body hardened midair, his skin glowing faint silver. The clone's strike landed — a thunderclap that should have broken every bone in his body — but Kelvin didn't even flinch.
He caught the clone's wrist with one hand, his veins glowing blue, and snarled, "My turn."
He flipped his body, spinning mid-air — dragging the clone downward with him.
The ground shattered on impact.
A crater spread outward, sending melted cracks racing through the field. Kelvin landed atop the clone's chest, fist drawn back, aura burning violently.
"Stat Swap — 10% Strength → Speed!"
He punched — once, twice, thrice — faster than lightning. Each hit echoed like an explosion, each shockwave tearing deeper into the clone's armor-like skin. The clone grunted, growled, but refused to fall.
Kelvin stopped only to whisper, voice sharp and calm. "You're strong. But strength means nothing if your body body and mind are not one."
Then — the clone vanished again.
Kelvin blinked. Gone?
Imidiately without talking his mind automatically used stat swap on perception due to his mind action.
He turned — to the attack.
A boot about to slam into his back, was dodged by inches.
The clone whispered it's Stat swap to Agility and moved with monstrous speed — faster than even Mind Action could fully predict.
But Kelvin was still one step ahead with
Mind Action + (+60%) perception .
With every action the clone made Kelvin dodge it easily. The clone was stronger faster more durable and had a higher stat but with every attack it made it's all seem to be in vain.
Kelvin thought in his mind " Thanks to high perception I can clearly hear his whispers and know which stat he is going to swap plus with my Mind Action I can easily dodge and counter his attacks."
"Stat Swap: 20% Strength → Agility"
The clone said.
It blurred again, vanishing from Kelvin's sight— and suddenly Kelvin's chest burst open from behind.
A hole.
A perfect hole.
Blood poured out.
The System beeped violently in his mind:
[Critical Damage Sustained!] [Durability Reduced by 70%!]
Kelvin staggered forward, coughing blood. His hand pressed over the hole, shaking.
The clone appeared before him, half-smiling, half-feral. "You see now? I'm you. But I'm what you could be without hesitation."
Kelvin raised his head slowly, one eye glowing with fury. "Without hesitation," he echoed, "means without restraint. And restraint… is what gives meaning to control."
The clone scowled — confused for half a breath — and that's all Kelvin needed.
He shut his eyes.
Mind Action — Full Sync.
Every nerve, every cell, every pulse of magic inside him came alive. His heartbeats matched his aura's rhythm. His breath synchronized with the flow of energy. He was not moving — he was flow.
He thought in his mind.
"Stat Swap — (30%) Speed → Strength. Strength → perception. Perception→vitality. Vitality→ Agility."
His movement unpredictable, his fighting flawless his body control peak!
"Let's end this."
He vanished — faster than before, Not as fast as the clone but with accurate and unpredictable speed.
His fist hit the clone's gut. Then his elbow hit its throat. Then his knee shattered its ribs. The clone coughed blood, staggering, but Kelvin didn't stop. He kept hitting, his movements flowing like a storm, no wasted motion, no missed attacks just perfect execution of damage.
Every step, every hit was executed before the clone could even process it.
[Mind Action Overclocked – 120% Neural Speed] [Stat Swap Efficiency Boost – 25%]
Kelvin struck again — his fist glowing like a star.
"Stat Swap — 5% Vitality → Strength!"
BOOM..
The clone's head snapped backward — the shockwave rippled for miles. Its body hit the ground, breaking apart into black energy.
But the clone regenerated again, roaring — more furious, more desperate.
" Am I this hard to kill" kelvin though as
It jumped foward.
Kelvin's eyes went blank — no fear, no hesitation. Just a mind perfectly aligned.
Their fists collided — and the impact sent a blinding wave of energy that disintegrated the battlefield around them. The Admins watching above flinched as screens crackled with static.
"he is insane, this is how every human should fight?!" the female Admin squeal Ed in joy. "That synchronization rate could melt his brain but if he survive he will surpass his limits!" she said with smile in her face.
The male one stared, voice tight. "He's not just fighting anymore. He's calculating his way through destruction."
The clone roared, its skin cracking, its aura spiking black-red.
Kelvin's lips barely moved. "Stat Swap: (15%)All Stats → Agility."
A blue light engulfed him — calm, unshakable.
He dodged, countered, moved in ways impossible for the body to comprehend. Every punch of the clone missed by a fraction of an inch. Every counter from Kelvin struck at weak points only he could detect — muscle joints, energy channels, regenerative nodes.
"Mind Action…" Kelvin murmured between attacks, his voice calm, clinical, almost professor-like. "…isn't about power. It's about liberation."
He parried another strike, pivoted, drove his knee upward — cracking the clone's jaw.
"When I think," he continued, ducking another swing, "the System listens before my body even moves. Stat Swap becomes part of my thought pattern — automatic, instinctive. No fatigue, no body restrain and no voice command."
The clone swung again — Kelvin sidestepped and slammed both palms into its chest.
"Because in Mind Action," he whispered, "the mind is the command."
The air bent around him — reality itself seemed to recoil.
The clone staggered back, its body breaking apart from internal pressure. Kelvin's aura pulsed brighter — a storm of blue and white light bursting from within.
He raised his hand once more.
[Stat Swap — Full Transfer: 50% Agility → Strength!]
His body blurred. His fist became a cannon.
When it connected, the explosion tore through everything — light, sound, and air itself vanished for a heartbeat. The ground Vibrated as other player that were recording tried to escape even as they checked the video they couldn't even see both fighters face only blur and pure speed.
When the light faded, only Kelvin stood — trembling, gasping — as the clone lay on the ground, disintegrating into ash.
The System flickered to life.
[CLONE DEFEATED.] [Calculating Reward…]
Kelvin fell to one knee, panting heavily. His vision was blurry, his body aching, but his expression was proud — calm — victorious.
He muttered weakly, "Took you long enough…"
Then the voice came:
[SYSTEM: Boss level for the event is unbalanced]

Kelvin chuckled dryly, almost delirious. "Mind of a monster, huh? …Fitting."
The System chimed again.
[Stat Swap Mastery Level Increased.] [Mind Action Fully Integrated – Stat Synchronization Path Unlocked.] [Diamond Balance: 3105💎.]
He rose to his feet slowly, his cracked armor crumbling off his shoulders. He looked down at the clone's ashes scattering in the wind.
"You were supposed to break me," he whispered. "But you just made me… stronger."
He consciously opens his Status Window without any command.

He turned his gaze , toward the Status window— where he knew the Administrators were watching, And he gave the rebellious sign.
"FUCK YOU," he said with a grin in his face.
Then his eyes glowed one final time — the System pulsed once more.

The air around him fell silent. The battlefield deserted— and Kelvin stood alone in the shattered level, smiling faintly as his blood slowly healed.
He wasn't just a survivor anymore.
He was the calculation of madness itself.
