Chapter 3 - Cursed Trait

In this game, I would build the best version of myself.

A thin smile crept across my lips, as if I were plotting something.

my fingers hovered over the arrow keys at the DEX stat, wanting to lower it to spare some points for CHARM and LUK.

My smile faded when I tried, I realized the stat points were far too few to be divided across four different stats.

My fingers fumbled over the arrow keys, hesitating. While lost in thought, I accidentally decreased my DEX until it dropped into the negatives.

Like a light bulb switching on in my brain I exclaimed:

"Ahhhh… so that's how you get extra stat points. Amazing!!! Even at the character creation stage, I already enjoying the game—so cleverly designed that you don't have to stress over it, only feel excited."

Shifting in my seat, with excitement, I shamelessly began reducing the VIT and STR stats into the negatives.

Without hesitation, I pushed VIT down to –50, then dragged STR all the way to –100. After all, a Mage didn't need a sturdy body or heavy punches. A Mage only had to unleash spells from the backline.

With all those extra points freed up, I poured them into the others—DEX 10, INT 51, LUK 50, and CHARM 50.

At that time, I didn't know what I had signed up for—or the consequences of shamelessly lowering important stats like VIT and STR, just to make my character more handsome and more lucky.

I stared at the result, heart pounding. It felt as if I were making a life-changing decision. Without realizing it, I had grown so serious—when in the end, this was just a game.

Once I was certain, I pressed Next once again.

A confirmation window appeared, asking if I truly wanted to proceed with this build.

While grinning satisfied with my build with no hesitation, I chose YES.

And then, suddenly, everything went dark.

Back to the present

"..."

"..."

"... This...can't..be real right ?" I stood looking around.

"Just now… I was in my room trying new game I bought. And now I am standing in unknow forest in unknown place." Realization creeping in while feeling unfamiliar body with my hand.

"No way. Unbelievable. This… this isekaied thing—this only happens when you get hit by a truck, right?! Why is it happening to me now?!"

I screamed into the empty air, as if demanding some god to explain why—of all people—I ended up here.

The absurdity of my own words rang in my ears. My pulse hammered. My legs wobbled and I staggered feeling dizzy.

I dropped back into sitting position calming my restless heart.

This is insane. This has to be a dream. Any moment now, I'll wake up…

I squeezed my eyes shut, drew in a shaky breath, then opened them again.

Nothing changed.

The forest didn't vanish. The greenery was still there, swaying gently in the breeze. My stomach twisted tighter, coiling with dread.

"What do I do now…?" I muttered, trying to think my way out

What's the first thing people do when they get isekaied…?

I pressed my head harder, desperate for clarity.

…Does they usually check if there's a status window?

Hesitate I shout, "STATUS WINDOW"

Ping.

A soft chime rang in my ears, and suddenly a faint light flickered in front of my eyes. My heart lurched as glowing letters began to assemble out of thin air, forming a translucent blue panel.

I froze, unable to breathe.

"…No way."

Lines of text spread across the screen, neat and crisp, listing out words that shouldn't exist outside of a video game:

[Glass Body]

[Mystic Scholar]

[Arcane Genius]

[Serendipity]

[Graceful Presence]

My eyes darted across the floating panel, foreign words and numbers blurring together in front of me.

I didn't understand half of it. The name and stats—I'd seen those back at the character customization screen. But now there were other terms flashing at me.

HP? MP? M. Attack?

Where did these even come from?

None of it made sense. The lines about traits and titles looked just as strange, like words from a manual I'd never read. I wasn't familiar with any of this.

My finger curiously tried to touch and examine the panel. When my finger touched a word on the panel, a new panel popped up, smaller than the previous one.

[Glass Body]

A body as fragile as glass, prone to collapse under strain.

- Low Vitality, Strength and Stamina

- Low resistances to ailments and damages

- Permanent HP Reduction

- When HP drops below 10% of total HP, the body automatically generates debuffs, both permanent and random.

Permanent Debuffs: Weaken, Dizzy.

Random Debuffs: Bleeding, Fever, Paralysis, Hemorrhage etc.

So that's how it works… when I touch a words in the panel, a smaller panel will shown up with an explanation.

My eyes trailed over the glowing text again, rereading every line of [Glass Body].

Fragile. Weak. Permanent reductions. Debufs I didn't even fully understand, but the words alone were enough to make my stomach twist.

"…This is awful."

I swallowed hard, my throat dry. A body as fragile as glass? Dizzy, Weaken, Fatigue—all the time?

What trait even mean? I feel it is like a curse.

"Why I have this broken trait? I thought I build my character to be lucky"

At first, I thought it was just the shock—or the effect of being transmigrated and body changes.

Now i realized that the uncomfortable feeling that I feel is from Glass Body trait

A chill ran down my spine

A body as fragile as glass, prone to collapse under strain.

That means… I have fragile body could break—die—at any moment. I would always feeling weak, tired and dizzy always in pain in the fantasy world full of monsters?

This wasn't just inconvenient. This was dangerous. Life-threatening.

I just wanted to try experiencing playing game not trapped in it especially not in terminally ill body!

What about others trait?

As I was about to touch other traits to check their explanation, a sudden shriek ripped through the forest—a deep, guttural roar!
