His fingers clamped around her chin, forcing her face upward. Jiang Xinyue winced, her breath hitching as his grip tightened cruelly. "You are hurting me," she cried.
"You dare to threaten me, Xinyue?" he sneered, his voice sounded terrifying, as if he was holding himself back from lashing out.

He laughed. A sound without warmth, sharp and mocking.
