Chapter 141 - The File

Yun Si must have sensed my hesitation.

She looked at me for a moment, then smiled softly, the kind of smile that carried reassurance rather than pressure. "You don't have to decide right away," she said casually. "You still have time. There's no hurry."

I let out a breath I hadn't realized I was holding and nodded. "Mm."

She was right. Rushing into a decision, especially one tied to my future, would only lead to regret. Still, the unease in my heart did not disappear. It lingered quietly, like a whisper I couldn't quite hear clearly.

Just as I began stacking the scripts neatly, Yun Si spoke again, her tone shifting slightly. "By the way," she said, as if mentioning something ordinary, "I'm meeting the detective tonight. He said he has some information."

My hand froze mid-movement.

I looked up at her sharply. "Really?"

"Yes." She nodded. "He contacted me this afternoon."
