Raven's POV:
He didn't speak for a moment, and the silence between us grew thick and heavy. I couldn't look him in the eye, not when I knew what he was thinking. And that terrified me.
I was trying to gather my thoughts, trying to reason my way out of this situation. I had to figure out what to do next. I had to play this carefully. He knew my secret now. There was no going back.
Would begging him to keep quiet work?
Should I make a deal with him? Maybe I could buy his silence. Maybe... maybe he'd leave me alone if I made it worth his while.
But what was I willing to sacrifice? And what kind of man was Lucian, really? Was he someone who would protect me? Or was I just another tool for him to use? He didn't need anything from me—I had nothing to offer, except for the fact that I was an omega. The very thing that made me both desirable and disposable at the same time.
