Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

~~~~ Kiara POV~~~~
It had been hours now.
And Arman was nowhere to be found.
I'd taken my bath and God's knows we're the hell he went to.I put on some white shirt and boxer I found in the drawer why strolling around his bedroom.
The silence in the house was unnerving.
I paced the room I entered,while walking around. Then sat. Then stood again. My eyes kept drifting to the door,-hoping that he'd walk through it.
Where was he?
Why was he gone so long?
I forced myself to take a breath, to stop the restless movement. Crossing to the window, I pulled back the heavy curtain just enough to let in the beautiful sunshine in.
The memory of, his lips still burned on my mouth
Where are you, Arman?
I was still standing by the window when I felt it
That shift in the air.
The temperature seemed to dip, a chill brushing over my arms. I turned sharply,as heart was hammering. Then I saw someone
She was already in the room.
A woman.
Unapologetically gorgeous.
Dark hair spilled over her shoulders. She wore a tight black leather pants and a matching top that barely covered her chest, revealing curves that made it hard to look and harder to look away. Her hips flared high, legs long, skin glowing. Her lips curled in a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes. Something about her presence made my skin crawl.
"Who…?" The word barely left my throat.
She tilted her head, as if amused by my confusion. "Relax, little lamb," she purred, her voice like silk over broken glass. "I'm just visiting."
I took a step back, my pulse racing. "Who are you?" I demanded, forcing the words through the tightness in my chest.
Her eyes glittered something inhuman in them.
"I'm Davina," she said sweetly. "A very close friend of Armanii."
Armani
The way she said his name casual,like a long time friend.
"Where is he?" I asked, hating how desperate I sounded.
Her smile widened.
"Oh, sweetheart…" She stepped closer, slow, deliberate, her heels clicking against the floor. "You don't know, do you?" She let out a soft, breathy laugh. "How precious. He hasn't told you anything."
"Stay away from me," I breathed, my back hitting the dresser.
She stopped, as if savoring my fear, then gave a little shrug. "I just wanted to meet the girl he's been so… obsessed with." Her eyes flickered down, her lip curling. "Poor thing. You have no idea what you're caught in."
Her voice dropped to a whisper.
"But you will."
And with that, she vanished.
Just gone like smoke.
I stood frozen, breathless, trembling.
What just happened?
Right in front of me.
I'd read about things like this in stories, fairy tales...
But this wasn't a story.
This was real.
I hurried out of the room scared all alone as I sat on the couch waiting hoping before finally falling asleep .
A hand on my shoulder startled me awake.
As I stood up slowly
Arman.
Before I could even think, I shot to my feet and threw my arms around him, holding him tightly.
"Where the hell have you been?" I demanded, my voice muffled against his chest.
But he pulled away almost instantly, coldness returning to his face as he turned his back to me.
"Why do you care?" he asked, voice low and sharp.
My chest tightened. "Oh, really?" I snapped, stepping around to face him. "You left me alone in this mysterious mansion and you are asking me why I cared"
He scoffed. "Aren't you capable of taking care of yourself? You're literally a witch, Eira."
I stared at him, stunned.
Then rage cracked through me like lightning.
"Fuck you, Arman. Fuck you!you don't get to act like I'm the problem. You don't get to disappear and then act like my feeling doesn't matter.I never said I wanted to be here"
His jaw tightened
Then his voice dropped dangerous and low.
"The only thing stopping me from killing you here right now is because I want to know how the hell we are connected."
That stopped me.
Shit!!!
I stepped back my heart pounding
He took a step forward, slowly
"You literally forgot I am a monster Eira.you have no right to question me."
"I have every right to question you."
"Careful," He said, his voice low. "You have no idea the kind of fire you're playing with." he turned his back toward me as he plan to leave
"A woman named davina came."
That stopped him.His entire body reaction shows he knows
whosoever that was.
"We need to leave."He said dragging me.
"What do you mean by leave."
"Eira,I have no time to explain.We need to leave here right now."
With that,he dragged me carefully as I followed behind him.
