Chapter Four: No Privacy
The knock came just as Jay was starting to relax, enjoying the faint peace of breakfast with Keifer.
Bang. Bang. Bang.
"Jayjay! Open up!"
Jay froze, fork halfway to her mouth. "No. No way. That's—"
Keifer leaned back in his chair, already smirking. "Section E."
Another round of pounding echoed, this time with Percy's unmistakable voice:
"Come on, sis! It's your honeymoon, but we can't just let you disappear forever. We brought food! And by food, I mean cake I stole from the reception."
Jay buried her face in her hands. "I hate him."
Keifer chuckled, standing to open the door. "I don't."
"Keifer, don't—"
Too late.
The moment the door swung open, half of Section E spilled inside like a tidal wave. Yuri, Ella, Percy, Aries, and Angelo all at once, with Yuri already whistling.
"Well, well, well," Yuri grinned, eyes flicking between Jay in Keifer's shirt and Keifer shirtless in sweatpants. "Someone had fun."
Jay nearly choked on her orange juice. "GET OUT!"
Ella collapsed onto the couch like she owned the place. "What? We're just checking on our newlyweds. You didn't expect to get rid of us that easily, did you?"
Percy wagged his brows, sliding into a chair beside Jay. "Sis, you're glowing. Totally glowing. Did you two—"
"PERCY!" Jay's face turned crimson.
Aries immediately smacked Percy upside the head. "Shut up. That's my sister."
"Exactly," Angelo added, crossing his arms, his glare fixed firmly on Keifer. "Watson, you better treat her right."
Keifer just leaned against the counter, arms folded, completely unbothered. "She's fine. Better than fine." His smirk widened when Jay launched a death glare his way. "Right, Mutya?"
Jay threw her napkin at him.
The room erupted in laughter.
Yuri slung an arm around Keifer, grinning. "Married at eighteen. Who would've thought? Jay, you swore you'd never fall for this idiot."
"And you swore you'd never stop talking," Jay shot back, deadpan.
"Touché," Yuri laughed.
Ella piped up next, eyes gleaming with mischief. "So, Mrs. Watson… how was your first night as a married woman?"
Jay shot up from her seat, mortified. "Okay, EVERYONE out! Right now! I am not doing this with you clowns in my house."
Percy clutched his chest dramatically. "Clowns? Rude. I came here to deliver cake and emotional support. You wound me."
Keifer reached over, snagging Jay by the waist before she could storm off. "Relax, Mutya. They'll tire themselves out eventually."
Aries narrowed his eyes. "You're way too calm about this, Watson."
Keifer's grin was pure mischief. "That's because I already won." He pressed a quick kiss to Jay's temple, earning a chorus of groans and cheers from Section E.
Jay wanted to die on the spot.
No privacy. None. And yet… as much as she hated to admit it, a small part of her heart was warm. Because this was them. Her chaos. Her family. Her friends.
And now, her husband.
