Nabi successfully reloaded the crossbow before Kenji got closer to strike; he aimed with a shaky hand and shot again. Kenji dodged to the right, his instincts finely tuned as he tracked the line of Nabi's aim and the telltale sound of the trigger being pulled. In the same breath, Kenji launched a swift strike toward Nabi's hand, aiming to disarm him before he could reload.
Kenji sliced through the air with his blade, like a chef expertly carving through tender meat. The blade glinted in the light as it found its mark, cleanly severing Nabi's fingers that gripped the crossbow.
Nabi screamed in agony as blood poured out, his voice piercing the air and echoing throughout the room. Never in his life had he experienced such excruciating pain; it felt as if fire coursed through his veins, leaving him breathless and desperate.
Kenji pressed on with another swift attack, his determination unwavering as he lunged forward, ready to deliver the next blow.

["You have reinforced 7 points to your profile,"] the system said.
Kenji struck Nabi in the chest with his fist. The impact sent Nabi crashing into the wall, his body slamming against the surface with a force that rattled the room.
Nabi lay on the ground, his back pressed against the wall, breathless and dazed from the impact. Kenji didn't give him a moment to catch his breath.
Kenji threw the blade up as he walked forward to Nabi; when the blade pointed downward, Kenji immediately grabbed the short sword in the air and stabbed Nabi in the right leg.
Nabi lay on the floor, his body trembling as pain coursed through him. His eyes widened in shock, the whites contrasting sharply with the darkened pupils that flickered with desperation. Sweat beaded on his forehead, his brow furrowed, and his muscles tensed with agony.
A grimace twisted his lips, reflecting the sheer torment he was experiencing, while his breath came in ragged gasps, each inhaling a reminder of his vulnerability.
Nabi tried to move, but his face got bashed into the wall, breaking the wall. Kenji removed his fist gradually, and some of Nabi's teeth fell off.
"Wow, just boosting my point increases my strength this much; it's really nice,"
Kenji, of course, appeared like a hero; this was his chance to play with that reputation and prove his worth.
Kenji stood tall, his gaze shifting to Mari momentarily before he pulled out another weapon, poised to deliver the final blow to Nabi. The tension in the air crackled as he prepared to strike.
"Stop!" Kato's voice rang out, cutting through the silence and halting Kenji in his tracks.
Kato wasn't alone in the room; Jin and a few other prominent students from his circle stood nearby. Soon, a lot of students gathered at the scene, all looking surprised and terrified, looking at the blood on the floor, which reminded them of the goblins' attack.
At the back, Ryu remained a quiet observer. His keen eyes scanned the scene, taking in every detail. He watched, calculating the best moment to intervene.
"What's the meaning of this?" Kato's voice cut through the charged atmosphere, demanding answers as he faced Kenji with an unwavering glare.
Kenji showed no sign of response or concern. His cold gaze was fixed on Nabi, intent on finishing what he had started.
Nabi regains consciousness, his blurry eyes spot everyone who gathers around, "shit, this is really bad,".
Amid his agony, Nabi's heart raced as Kato's voice pierced through the haze of pain. It sounded like a lifeline, a beacon of hope in darkness.
"he tried to rape Mari, and I tried to stop him", Nabi shouted, channelling every ounce of strength he had left.
"lol, what a crazy guy," Kenji thought as he stood up properly.
Kenji used his right leg to bash Nabi's face, pressing his face further against the wall.
Nabi's vision blurred as the impact rattled through him, sending a wave of pain coursing through his body, and he instantly lost consciousness again.
"What the fuck, beaten something to this extent, even in front of us all," Jin thought as he looked at Kenji from behind, his emotions mixed with surprise and anger,
"Is this system fault, giving power to pathetic bastards like you?" Jin gritted his teeth
Jin had lied to the others that he'd killed at least three goblins before getting to safety, and Kato never doubted him. How could he? There was no way to confirm such claims. When a player killed a goblin, only the system sent a private notification marking their first kill. And since Jin came from a prestigious family, with a long record of athletic achievements, no one questioned him.
Kato's annoyance twisted into a fierce resolve as he watched Kenji's indifference.
"Jin!" Kato called, his voice sharp and urgent.
Jin hesitated for a heartbeat, then surged forward. His muscles coiled with raw determination as the air thickened with tension. He charged at Kenji, driven by the weight of Kato's mounting frustration. Kato's pulse quickened, anger and anticipation tangled within him, as he watched Jin close the distance, ready to challenge the cold indifference of Kenji that had pushed him to the edge.
Kato's call for Jin to attack was something he couldn't refuse. If he hesitated now, everyone might start doubting whether he'd really killed any goblins at all. Pride gnawed at him. To protect his image, Jin steeled himself and charged at Kenji.

Jin's punch rocketed forward, a heavy swing that seemed to carve through the air, but Kenji was quick. He evaded the blow with a deft sidestep to the right, his movements fluid and calculated. As Jin's fist whiffed past, Kenji's hand rose, gripping the blade with intent.
The glint of metal caught the light as he prepared to swing, aiming for Jin's hand with a precise, lethal grace. The tension in the air crackled, a moment suspended in time where fury met skill, and the stakes grew higher. Kato watched, breathless, as the confrontation escalated, each action a dance of instinct and resolve.
Just as Kenji prepared to strike, a new threat caught his attention. He sensed it before he saw it: a small, luminous blue sphere, no larger than a tennis ball, hurtling toward him. Though its speed wasn't extraordinary, an intuitive sense of danger washed over him, urging him to evade.
With a swift pivot, Kenji abandoned the attack on Jin, narrowly dodging the glowing orb. It whizzed past him and collided with the wall behind, the impact resonating through the room like a cannon blast.
The force was shocking, creating a gaping hole two times the ball's size. Dust and debris cascaded around the impact site, leaving Kenji stunned as he processed the unexpected turn of events. Kato's heart raced, caught between the chaos of the fight and the sudden eruption of power.
"Who might that be?" murmured the onlookers, their eyes fixed on the source of the blue ball. Emerging from the shadows, Akio wore a sly smile, satisfaction evident. He had made the shot with precision, but beneath that confident exterior, he struggled to catch his breath, the exertion weighing on him.

Kato felt a surge of confidence, buoyed by the realisation that he now had allies. Jin, Akio, and even Ryu formed a formidable front against Kenji, who stood alone, the odds stacked against him.
"Do you think you can take us on?" Kato called out, his voice ringing with pride.
"I don't see you making it out of this," Kato added.
They encircled Kenji, keeping a wary distance while exuding determination. Even with the encirclement, Kenji's expressionless face didn't change one bit. This made Kato angry
Kenji's cold gaze swept over them, a steely resolve in his red eyes that seemed to pierce through the tension. He felt the threat closing in, his instincts screaming that his life was at risk. He took a fighting stance with a sudden shift, his body poised and ready.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Akio replied, his smile unwavering, masking any hint of concern.
Kenji's left foot spread more comprehensively than his right, and his body relaxed yet coiled like a spring. He bent slightly, a stray lock of hair falling over one eye, creating a striking, almost ominous aura. Only Ryu, observing from the sidelines, recognised the stance, a familiar pose.
"I think it's time I show off my skills too," Remi thought, a spark of ambition igniting as he prepared to be the first to strike.
