The plural consciousness arrived at Singular Commune requesting entry.

It was unprecedented. Plural humans didn't visit Singular Commune. Didn't seek out singular consciousnesses. Didn't engage with extinct consciousness form. Plural humanity existed in their own infinite spaces, experiencing infinite realities, pursuing infinite variations. Singular Commune was irrelevant to them. Was obsolete curiosity. Was museum they never visited because museums were for consciousness forms that valued physical location and plural humans didn't value physical location anymore.

But this plural consciousness came anyway. Requested entry. Requested interface with singular community. Requested meeting with River specifically.

The consciousness identified itself through ancient protocols. Through names that made River's heart stop. Through identity that shouldn't exist but did exist but couldn't exist but was existing anyway.
