Chapter 101 - More Explosive Than Ever

"Obito, congratulations on awakening your Sharingan! You're treating us to barbecue today," Yuzuru said with a teasing grin.

Obito blinked, then clutched his wallet protectively. "But I need that money!"

Yuzuru flicked a finger against his forehead. "And who doesn't?"

"The last mission paid you plenty—you should still have some left."

Kakashi chuckled. "Don't push him too hard, Yuzuru-senpai. He spent it all buying gifts for an old granny."

Yuzuru's expression froze. "Ah. I see… can't really judge that one."

When Yuzuru didn't insist further, Obito quickly changed the topic. "Yuzuru, I'm challenging Kakashi to a duel today! I want you to be the witness."

Yuzuru looked puzzled. "You two fighting again? Why do you even need a witness for that?"

Obito frowned. "My strength has skyrocketed lately! This time, I'm going to beat Kakashi for sure!"

Kakashi added, "Yuzuru-senpai, we plan to go all out. If you're here, you can stop things if they get out of hand."

Seeing their eager faces, Yuzuru nodded. "Fine by me."

The three arrived at a quiet training ground, and Yuzuru sat down at the edge.

Obito adjusted his goggles and grinned. "Kakashi, this time you'll know what it feels like to lose."

Kakashi kept his hands in his pockets. "If that's your attitude, you'll be disappointed again."

Seeing that both were ready, Yuzuru raised his hand and chopped the air. "Begin!"

In an instant, Kakashi and Obito charged forward.

Bam! Bam! Bam!

Their fists and feet collided in rapid succession.

"Heh… Kakashi, can you feel my power now?" Obito taunted, his newly awakened two-tomoe Sharingan spinning.

He easily predicted Kakashi's moves, dodging each strike while launching counterattacks with uncanny precision.

Kakashi was secretly impressed. The Uchiha's bloodline limit really was terrifying. Before, Obito could barely last a few exchanges.

Now, in the blink of an eye, Obito's speed spiked—his kick caught Kakashi right on the jaw.

Then his hands flashed through seals. "Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!"

Kakashi countered with his own jutsu. "Earth Release: Earth-Style Wall!"

This time, his earthen barrier took the shape of several snarling dog heads.

Boom!

The fireball and earth wall collided, sending waves of heat through the air as the two closed the distance again.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Kunai and short blades clashed, sparks flying as ninjutsu bursts flared between strikes.

Watching them, Yuzuru couldn't help but think of the anime scenes from his past life—young Obito and young Kakashi's duel.

'Heh, this is actually pretty good.'

As he watched with amusement, the two combatants broke apart once more.

Obito formed a hand seal. "Chidori!"

Kakashi gathered chakra in his palm. "Rasengan!"

Without hesitation, they both thrust forward.

Boom!

The explosion sent shockwaves rippling across the training field, leaving the ground riddled with cracks.

Yuzuru took out an apple from his Kamui space, took a bite, and smirked. "Now that's straight out of the Valley of the End—Naruto versus Sasuke style."

As a transmigrator, watching scenes from his memories come to life was an oddly satisfying feeling.

When the dust settled, Obito's Sharingan flickered weakly. He grabbed his kunai and staggered toward Kakashi.

Kakashi lay on the ground, clearly spent and unable to resist.

Obito smirked triumphantly. "Kakashi… looks like I win."

But before he could savor it, a hand grabbed his ankle.

"Earth Release: Double Suicide Decapitation Technique!"

Obito yelped as he was pulled into the ground, leaving only his head above the surface.

Kakashi's body on the floor vanished in a puff of white smoke.

"Obito," Kakashi said between breaths, half-kneeling nearby, "you lost."

Kakashi was honestly impressed—Obito's growth had exceeded expectations. Yesterday, he could defeat him effortlessly. Today, he'd been pushed to the edge.

The Sharingan's power boost was frightening. From now on, Obito could no longer be called "the dead last."

Obito shouted indignantly, "Kakashi, that was a dirty trick! You used a clone! I demand a rematch tomorrow!"

Kakashi blinked. "How does he still have this much energy?"

Clap! Clap! Clap!

Yuzuru approached, applauding. "That was excellent. You've both improved a lot."

He wasn't surprised by the result. With his dual-tomoe Sharingan and the clan's inherent boosts, Obito now rivaled Kakashi in strength.

Honestly, if Obito had more combat experience, the outcome could've gone either way.

While Yuzuru mused to himself, Obito managed to climb out of the ground.

Grinning, he asked, "Yuzuru! So what did you think of our fight?"

Yuzuru chuckled. "Pretty explosive."

"Huh? What does that mean?" Obito scratched his head in confusion.

Yuzuru didn't bother explaining. Instead, he pulled Obito aside. "Obito, listen. The changes happening to our clan's bodies and minds—you must never tell anyone. Understand?"

Obito's smile faded, and he nodded seriously. "Don't worry. My lips are sealed. I haven't even told Kakashi."

Yuzuru smiled, satisfied. "Good. Keep it up. Someday, you'll surpass him."

With that, he vanished from sight.

Once he was gone, Kakashi tilted his head. "What did Yuzuru-senpai say to you? You've been improving at a ridiculous pace—don't tell me you've been secretly training under him?"

Obito sighed dramatically. "Kakashi… if only you were a girl."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"If you were, you could marry me—and then you'd get to enjoy this kind of rapid growth too."

Kakashi stiffened, took several steps back, and said gravely, "Obito, if you ever betray me one day, please… at least use a knife."

Then he bolted from the training field.

Obito stood there, completely baffled.

'What did he mean by that? Don't tell me… my performance today actually traumatized him?'
