Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: A Hidden Village?

Chapter 3: A Hidden Village

Liang and Ying Yue rested in the clearing. The strange lights from the distance flickered softly, making the forest look dreamlike.

Liang looked at Ying Yue. "Why do you really want to stay close to me?"

She hesitated, then spoke quietly. "Because I feel connected to you. Since I first saw you, I knew we were meant to be together. Even if it's strange, I can't let go."

Liang sighed. "Ying Yue, I understand you care, but obsession is weird. It's not healthy to follow someone everywhere."

She looked sad. "I just want to be with you. That's all."

He rubbed his forehead. "You're not the only one who feels confused. I don't understand any of this. How do we get back?"

She looked toward the distant glow. "Maybe that village has people who can help us. Maybe they know about this place."

Liang nodded slowly. "It's worth a try."

They stood up and started walking again. The forest was quiet, except for the rustling leaves and distant sounds.

After some time, they reached the edge of the trees. Ahead was a small village, with tiny houses and lanterns hanging outside.

"Look," Ying Yue said softly. "That's the village."

Liang looked carefully. It seemed peaceful, but strange. The buildings were simple, made of wood and stone. No one was outside.

"Let's go," Liang said. "Maybe someone there can tell us what's going on."

They moved closer. As they entered the village, a few people appeared. They looked at Liang and Ying Yue with curiosity.

An old man stepped forward. He had a long gray beard and gentle eyes. "Who are you, strangers?"

Ying Yue stepped ahead. "We're lost. We don't know how we got here."

The old man nodded slowly. "We see many, but they don't see us, and few understand why. This is a place between worlds. We help those who are lost."

Liang looked at him. "Can you help us find a way back home?"

The old man smiled kindly. "Perhaps. But first, you must trust us. And be prepared for what's ahead."

Ying Yue reached for Liang's hand. "We'll trust you. Please help us."

The old man nodded. "Follow me. There is much to discuss."

Liang looked at Ying Yue, feeling a little hope. Maybe, just maybe, they could find a way out of this strange world.
