His lips burned a trail from her cheek, moving down with a slow, torturous intent. "He only knows how to speak those high-sounding words," Rhett murmured, his voice a low, husky vibration against her skin. "But so what? Look at me. Who is the person in front of you right now?"
A dark, amused pleasure dripped from every word.
But to Kelsey? He sounded like a complete devil. "You make me sick, Rhett." The words were torn from her, raw and real. "I really wish I had never met you... you disgust me!"
She'd said it all before, a million times, each one straight from the soul. But this time was different. This time, a hatred so pure it was venom laced every syllable. She gritted her teeth so hard her jaw ached. "I'll kill you... Rhett, I swear I will kill you!"
If she ever got the chance, she would pay him back for every insult. A hundred times over.
She had suffered enough. She had lowered herself enough. And still, he pushed her. Still, he forced her to this breaking point.
