Kelsey's coughing fit finally subsided, but when she processed Quiana's words, she started choking all over again.
Quiana's train of thought was just too wild and unpredictable for her to keep up with.
Seeing her utterly flustered reaction, Quiana knew she'd gone too far. She laughed. "Okay, okay! I was just kidding!"
Kelsey's face was still bright red. She wanted to say something but was at a complete loss for words, just standing there looking helpless.
Quiana found her adorable and couldn't resist pinching her cheek. "How are you so easy to tease?"
She then let out a sigh. "It's because you're so easy to bully that a guy like Rhett can push you around..."
She had been trying to find some way to help Kelsey, but after tentatively bringing it up with her family, she was met with unanimous, firm opposition.
