Aurelia hesitated to leave, her mind clouded by concern.
Would leaving him alone again cause another mishap? she wondered.
The last time they had left Zephyr alone, the kind-looking carriage driver had tried to assassinate him. He lived only due to luck.
To make matters worse, the villain behind the carriage driver was supposedly still hunting him down.
She turned to face Elenor.
"What do you think?" she asked.
"For the moment, nothing should happen," Elenor replied, adding, "And if something does, we can return easily."
Elenor's confidence was backed by reason. She gazed at the surroundings.
The day was slowly shifting toward noon, and from the sky, they could view the entire area at any time. Keeping an eye on Zephyr would not be difficult.
While the village covered a large area due to the flax fields stretching between houses, the population was barely two hundred people. It wouldn't take much time to reach them, since they were currently in the middle of the village.
