Chapter 94 - Chapter 94 Kaguya's Discovery, Enkidu's Curiosity

"Achoo!"

In the library, watching Merlin sneeze incessantly beside her, Kaguya cast a questioning glance.

"Merlin, can you even catch a cold?"

In Kaguya's memory, the Succubus named Merlin Ambrosius possessed formidable power absolutely incomparable to ordinary humans. She completely didn't understand why Merlin would sneeze. She didn't address Merlin by her class, Caster, but called her by name directly.

"Mmm... Kaguya, I must have been scolded by Morgan. It only happens like this when she lectures me."

Initially, they addressed each other by class and 'Master' mainly to maintain secrecy against other Servants. After all, no one wanted to leak their Servant's identity to the enemy, making them vulnerable to targeting.

But... whether it was the young lady of the Shinomiya Family or the hikikomori of Camelot, the combination of these two was undeniably one of peerless beauties. Their usual movements obviously attracted considerable attention from those around them.

Not wanting to use magecraft to conceal their presence in the city to avoid enemy detection, they had no choice but to address each other by name.

At least it could reduce the attention from ordinary people.

"Scolded by Morgan? I've read British history, Morgan le Fay is King Arthur's sister, and the wife of the Sun-Crowned King, right?"

Because Ryuya altered Camelot, the history of Camelot in the real world where Kaguya and Ryuya resided had also changed.

(A/N: Chapter 20 indicated that Camelot was integrated into Ryuya's real world, while Uruk became an independent world like a Lostbelt.)

Remembering the legends of the Sun-Crowned King in British history, Kaguya spoke while flipping through the records in Snowfield City.

Strangely, in this world, after King Uther's reign ended, King Arthur ascended the throne directly and there was no record of a Sun-Crowned King.

"Mm-hmm, Morgan was Is's most capable assistant, and also the strictest. Even Artoria and I didn't dare provoke her."

Recalling the times she and Artoria were punished by Morgan for sneaking around playing and eating, Merlin's spirit seemed to drift… she missed that time so much.

"Artoria? That's King Arthur, right?"

"Merlin, tell me about your era. I'm very curious."

Having roughly skimmed through much of the data on Snowfield City and the information about magi in this world she had crossed into, combined with the Holy Grail War knowledge in her mind, Kaguya had currently reached the following judgments.

First, the magi in Snowfield City were much stronger than those in her own world, at least in terms of magical energy manifestation.

In her original world, she never knew magi could summon Heroic Spirits.

Second, the mystical forces in Snowfield City seemed to only include magi, while her own world had additional strange existences like youkai, vampires, Ghouls, etc. This was a major difference.

Third, was history!

Looking through world history, Kaguya made a surprising discovery: there were some discrepancies in the historical records.

First, the Shinsengumi in Japan disappeared very early in the Snowfield City world, but in her world, they still existed, even continuing into the modern era, reportedly under the protection of youkai, according to Shinomiya Conglomerate's intelligence.

Second, the records about the Sun-Crowned King in British history were interesting. The history in Snowfield City completely lacked this person, and that King Arthur was recorded as male in Snowfield City's records.

Faintly feeling these two matters might be related to the reason she crossed over to participate in this Holy Grail War, Kaguya looked at Merlin beside her, thinking it might be better to ask her own Servant.

After all, what could be clearer than asking the person involved?

"Huh? Our era? Our era..."

Her eyes distant, recalling the little fairy born from the Inner Sea of the Planet, Merlin unconsciously stared blankly.

After a long while, she began to tell the stories she knew, those brilliant myths!

"What a boring world. It truly pales in comparison to Babylon."

"Really, to make this king come to such a boring era. Yukinoshita, if this were Babylon, your crimes would surely be punished by this king with hard labor in the demon territory!"

In the city center of Snowfield, completely ignoring normal magus concepts like Masters, Servants, or the Holy Grail War, for the proud King of Heroes Gilgamesh, everything in this world was her treasure.

Having developed the golden age of Uruk with Enkidu, Siduri, Ishtar, and Ereshkigal, for over thousands of years, Babylon had become a holy land for the Hundred Races, a perpetual empire rivaling myth.

It's similar to the Synchronized Intellect Nation of Shi Huang Di, but even more magnificent due to the prosperity of the Hundred Races.

Now, suddenly arriving in this unfamiliar barbarian land, in Female Gil's view, this world was incredibly boring.

Having changed into casual clothes, her divine charm attracted countless gazes from those around her. She walked while shaking her head and sighing, venting her complaints to her Masters along the way.

"Yukino, Haruno, don't be afraid. Gil is just like this, she doesn't actually mean any harm."

Following behind Gilgamesh, Enkidu, wearing a pure white suit, tied her green hair into a high ponytail.

With her charm that captivated all genders, she truly gave off a feeling of peerless elegance, like a graceful prince descending upon this place.

"Ah, thank you, Enkidu. We understand."

Nodding, Haruno, after the initial shock, had somewhat grasped what was happening to her and her sister. At first, she knew nothing about the Holy Grail War or magi.

But with Enkidu's explanation, she also learned the specifics.

In this unfamiliar world, as Masters summoning heroes from history to fight, achieving victory and realizing their wish should, in theory, be a very heroic war.

But from Haruno's perspective, it was a death sentence.

After all, neither she nor her sister had any magical talent. For ordinary people to participate in such a war was truly seeking death.

Fortunately, the two they summoned were Uruk's oldest King, Gilgamesh and the Chain of Heaven, Enkidu, which are apparently incredibly powerful Servants. As Gilgamesh put it, "They are merely a bunch of worthless fowls fighting over this king's treasures. When encountered, this king will utterly destroy them."

"Speaking of which, Haruno and Yukino, are you two truly ordinary people?"

Enjoying conversation and having a gentle temperament, Enkidu gave off the feeling of an older sister next door.

As her pale green eyes examined the Yukinoshita Sisters, her gaze held a hint of strangeness.

"Yes, neither Yukino nor I have encountered any magi. Is there a problem?"

Nodding, Haruno asked in return.

"Mmm, not a major problem, I suppose. It's just that Yukino's body is different from yours, Haruno. There's a lot of residual magical energy on her. Although that energy is fading, much of it is flowing into Yukino's body, changing it, making her healthier."

Clearly understanding that the Yukinoshita Sisters completely lacked any magical talent, it was precisely this strange phenomenon that made Enkidu feel a bit curious. Why was the magical energy on Yukino significantly greater than on Haruno? Was there some special reason?
