Chapter 9 - I'm Just a Café Owner

Immediately following this, three more figures pushed the door open.

Raven's eyes lit up.

The new arrivals were indeed Yuji Kiba and Yuka Osada. The person leading them was Eiichi Toda, the senior member sent by Smart Brain to mentor the two newcomers.

Yuka was silent, seemingly in deep psychological shock. She entered with her head bowed, trailing the equally conflicted Yuji Kiba, and they sat at a table further away from the counter.

Because of this, she didn't immediately realize that the Café owner was Raven.

Raven took the initiative to hand them menus.

He asked the group, "What can I get for you?"

"I'll take an Iced Americano," Yuji spoke first.

Eiichi also ordered a Latte. He didn't even spare Raven a glance.

In his mind, human lives were utterly irrelevant, except for those of Orphnochs.

"Yuka, what do you want to drink?" Kiba asked Yuka, who still had her head down.

"I... just anything is fine," Yuka stammered.

She still couldn't come to terms with what had happened at Smart Brain yesterday.

They had been constantly brainwashed to attack humans and accept the reality of being Orphnochs. But how could they accept such a thing when their previous actions were committed in a state of lost control?

Being called out by Eiichi today meant that more innocent people were about to suffer.

"Isn't that Yuka?"

A familiar voice suddenly reached Yuka's ears.

She instantly looked up and saw a familiar face.

"Mr. Raven?"

Yuka was greatly shocked. How could he be here? Was he working at the Café?

"Yuka, you know this person?" Yuji asked.

"Yes."

Yuka had no choice but to nod, but she didn't quite dare to meet Raven's gaze.

"What's wrong, Yuka?"

Raven proactively asked.

"Ah, she might be feeling a bit unwell today..." Kiba interjected.

He was trying his best not to drag Raven into their affairs.

Eiichi, standing nearby, gave Raven and Yuka a meaningful look. His mind was likely already plotting something nefarious.

"Well, that's quite the coincidence, Boss. Just give her a Latte, too."

With that, Eiichi handed the menu back to Raven.

Raven nodded, didn't say anything more, and turned back to the counter to prepare the coffee.

However, Yuka's expression became tense after seeing Eiichi's look. She worried he might attack Raven.

Eiichi then spoke to the others: "You are no longer human; you are Orphnochs. And once you become an Orphnoch, your mission is to increase your numbers."

Yuji replied with difficulty, "We can't do that. We don't understand the meaning of increasing our numbers, especially when it involves attacking innocent people."

"Don't worry about unnecessary things. You'll get used to it." Eiichi looked up at the wall clock and immediately stood up.

He suddenly transformed into his Squid Orphnoch form.

Using the weapon in his hand, he quickly sprayed a stream of ink-like liquid toward Kaido at the next table.

"Agh!"

Kaido, a victim of this unexpected assault, immediately began to struggle.

"You two start now, too," Eiichi told Yuka and Kiba after dealing with one person.

"No... Don't!" Kiba immediately stood up, ready to run away with Yuka.

At the same moment, Yuka cried out toward the counter, "Mr. Raven, run!"

But the counter area was already empty. Raven was nowhere to be seen.

"Let's go!"

Yuji couldn't worry about anything else and immediately grabbed Yuka, pulling her out the door.

For a moment, only the unfortunate Kaido and Eiichi remained in the Café.

Eiichi sighed.

He said regretfully, "If that's the case, I'll have to eliminate you."

As a mentor for novice Orphnochs, he had personally killed many Orphnochs who were unwilling to attack humans.

He then pursued them.

"Ah!"

Because of their frantic escape, Yuka accidentally tripped over a step.

At that moment, Eiichi had already caught up.

Kiba immediately stood in front of Yuka.

He said to Eiichi, "We really can't do it, Mr. Toda. Please let us go."

"An Orphnoch who won't attack humans only has one fate, and that is..."

"Death."

Eiichi showed no mercy and immediately attacked Yuji.

Kiba was instantly sent flying over ten meters away.

Before hitting the ground, his body automatically transformed into his Orphnoch form for self-protection.

"Mr. Kiba!"

Yuka cried out in concern.

Eiichi decided to take out Yuji first and temporarily ignored Yuka.

Yuji Kiba, having only recently become an Orphnoch, was naturally no match for a veteran like Eiichi Toda. Moreover, with no will to fight, he quickly fell into a disadvantage.

He was continually beaten and sent tumbling across the ground.

Just as Eiichi was about to deliver the final blow to Kiba, a voice suddenly came from behind him.

"Hey, you haven't paid for your coffee yet."

Hearing the voice, Yuka froze and quickly turned to look.

Raven had appeared behind them at some point, and a strange-looking Driver was attached to his waist.

Eiichi also looked at Raven.

He immediately sneered, saying, "A human. You truly don't know your place."

He raised the weapon in his hand, preparing to fire the same ink-like substance he used to attack Kaido.

However, Raven simply stood his ground and rotated the handle grip on his Driver.

Sigma.

As the Driver sounded, the two compound eyes on it ignited with a purple glow.

"Amazon."

After Raven uttered the transformation command, a powerful surge of energy immediately erupted.

It instantly vaporized the incoming ink cloud.

He then completed his transformation right there, becoming Kamen Rider Sigma.

"Who the hell are you? Are you an Orphnoch?"

Upon seeing this, Eiichi couldn't maintain his composure, realizing that the Café owner was no ordinary person.

Yuka was also stunned, filled with both shock and joy. She hadn't expected Raven to be extraordinary. Was he an Orphnoch, too?

Raven stood quietly and spoke to Eiichi in the distance.

"I'm just a Café owner, and you'd better listen up!"
