Chapter 238 - Chapter 237: Tsurugi Kamishiro's Identity: A Worm?

"I will defeat all the Worms myself!" Tsurugi declared arrogantly after slashing several Worms.

But before he could finish speaking, he suffered another splitting headache. He once again transformed into his Worm form right in front of Kagami, then launched an attack on Kagami.

At this moment, Tendo finally arrived and joined the battle.

"Wait! Stop!" Kagami saw that Tendo was striking mercilessly, clearly intending to kill.

"What? Are you going to go easy on a Worm?" Tendo looked at Kagami, who was blocking him, confused.

But Kagami couldn't speak the truth. He couldn't tell Tendo that this Worm was Tsurugi Kamishiro.

And so, Gatack and Kabuto clashed, fighting each other.

On the other side, Raven casually massacred the Mosquito Worm, never even transforming.

"Bastard, who exactly are you?" Ichiro Ikesu uttered the death-knell question.

He found that when he was near Raven, he couldn't enter the accelerated state by controlling the particles. This was, naturally, because Raven could manipulate time at will, effectively nullifying the Worm's acceleration.

"Are you sure you want to ask?" Raven kicked him away.

"I'm just a passing..."

"...café owner."

After saying that, Raven revealed the Faiz Driver on his waist. He keyed in the transformation code.

"Henshin!"

Accompanied by the red Photon Blood covering his body, Raven transformed into Faiz. He quietly walked toward the fallen Mosquito Worm.

"Ahhhhh!"

A gruesome shriek tore through the air. Raven finished him off with a final Crimson Smash.

At the same time, he looked into the distance. Gatack and Kabuto were fighting, while Tsurugi, now in his Worm form, was attacking both of them simultaneously. The fighting moved from the stadium into a nearby forest. Raven followed them, watching the drama unfold without rushing.

At that moment, another person was secretly observing the scene: Hyper Kabuto.

Seeing that familiar helmet peek out, a symbol similar to OMO but different—OYO—flashed in Raven's mind. This figure had been appearing for a long time, always watching the show.

An idea sparked in Raven's mind. He suddenly paused time.

The result was slightly unexpected. This future Tendo had already mastered the Hyper Zecter perfectly. As if sensing danger, he evaded Raven's time stop and instantly vanished.

"It seems he's not simple after all." Raven looked at the spot where Hyper Kabuto disappeared, intrigued.

He wondered if stealing the Hyper Zecter of this world would affect the future Tendo. But upon consideration, he figured it wouldn't. The Hyper Zecter ZECT was currently testing would be destroyed later. The one Tendo obtained in the original series came from the future. Moreover, the Hyper Zecter was the kind of item that could exist in multiple versions simultaneously. From the moment it was created, it was destined to have countless copies.

As long as the future Tendo found a way to acquire a Hyper Zecter, the current Tendo was destined to obtain one.

"By my estimation, ZECT should be finishing up testing the Hyper Zecter soon, " Raven thought. The mimicked Tendo, whom he had released earlier, was defeated by Mishima (as TheBee) and captured again. It was being used for the purpose of testing the Hyper Zecter.

Just then, due to Gatack's interference, the Worm-transformed Tsurugi barely regained a sliver of consciousness and found a chance to escape from Tendo, eventually collapsing nearby.

Kagami and Tendo ceased fighting. Tendo canceled his transformation and left without saying a word. Kagami went to search for Tsurugi, but couldn't find a trace of him after a long search.

"Are you looking for Tsurugi Kamishiro?" Raven asked, looking at Kagami, who was running towards him on an overpass.

"Eh, how did you..." Kagami instinctively became nervous.

"Why are you hiding the fact that he's a Worm?" Raven asked with interest.

"You knew?" Kagami was shocked again, suddenly panicking.

"I've known that guy was a Worm for a while, and I even fought him once," Raven said casually, leaning against the railing.

Kagami sighed in relief, realizing Raven shared his suspicions. However, he was still curious. "Then why didn't you kill him...?"

"I plan to observe him. Don't you find a Worm whose body is occupied by human memories interesting?" Raven smiled.

"Interesting?" Kagami was stunned. He had thought Raven's reason was the same as his: he couldn't bring himself to do it. By the time he recovered, Raven was already gone.

"Wait! Don't tell Tendo about this yet!" Kagami shouted after him. He was still worried that Tendo would kill Tsurugi without hesitation.

With this, Kagami decided to find the old butler first to inform him.

"Master, there's something I don't know how to say..." Kagami struggled for a moment, then suddenly blurted out, "But I saw with my own eyes that Tsurugi transformed into a Worm."

"Haha, that's impossible... You know how much the Young Master hates Worms," the old butler laughed unnaturally, trying to conceal his true feelings.

"But I truly saw it with my own eyes," Kagami continued. "And the Worm that killed his sister was actually himself."

Hearing this, the old butler knew he couldn't hide it any longer. He took out a pair of sunglasses from his side and put them on, choosing to selectively obscure his vision.

"Sometimes, God forces one to make a cruel choice."

"The only person who can inherit the esteemed Discabil family is the Young Master, regardless of his true identity."

Kagami looked at the butler, also stunned. "Are you saying... you knew everything?"

The old butler sighed and left without saying anything.

In the end, Kagami chose to go directly to Tsurugi Kamishiro's mansion. After calling him out, Tsurugi assumed there was something important to discuss. On the road, Kagami talked to him about the Worms, which deeply affected Tsurugi.
