Baek Haemin couldn't help but smack Ryu Jinmu on head when he was told that his clothes were now gone. Thankfully, he was soothed when he was told that his items were at least saved. If they hadn't been saved, then Baek Haemin would have been seriously mad.
Once Ryu Jinmu let him borrow his clothes that were bigger than his build, the two of them went ahead to visit the orphanage but Baek Haemin paused.
The orphanage was worn. Baek Haemin didn't need anyone to tell him that. He noticed it the moment he stepped out of the car until he went inside.
The walls were cleaner than he expected. However, the paint had faded in uneven patches, colors dulled by years of sunlight and careless scrubbing. In some places, the white had turned faintly yellow. In others, it had peeled away just enough to expose what lay beneath, like scars someone had tried to hide and failed.
