Chapter 1 - PROLOGUE : The Goddess of Life Skill

The day the System awakened in her, Evelyn Park thought she was finally losing her mind.

It began quietly—no thunder, no lightning, no divine revelation. Just the familiar hum of her old ceiling fan and the glow of her phone screen beside the bed. Then, a flicker of blue light burst before her eyes.

A translucent panel hovered midair.

[SYSTEM INITIALIZING…][Welcome, User: Evelyn Park][Daily Quest Unlocked: Begin Your Day Productively]• Make your bed• Brush your teeth• Eat breakfast• Smile once at yourself in the mirrorReward: +1 EXP | +1 Skill Point

She blinked, groggy. "…What the hell?"

Evelyn waved her hand through the hologram. It flickered, then returned, persistent as ever.

[System Reminder: Ignoring quests may result in penalty.]

"Penalty? Yeah, sure." She snorted and rolled back into bed, assuming she was hallucinating from too much instant coffee and loneliness.

But when she woke up again, her body ached like she had run a marathon. A red message flashed.

[Penalty Applied: -10 Stamina | -5 Mood | -3 Health]

The system wasn't a dream.

At first, the quests were absurdly mundane — chores, cleaning, cooking, watering plants. But when she ignored them, the penalties grew worse. Her food spoiled overnight. Her plants withered. Her body weakened until she could barely stand.

So, reluctantly, she obeyed.

And strangely, with every completed task, she felt better. The air seemed clearer, her thoughts sharper. She earned tiny increments of experience — 1 EXP, 1 Skill Point — but they added up.

When she cooked, her meals became tastier. When she tended her garden, the flowers bloomed brighter than ever. When she read books, her memory sharpened to photographic precision.

Within months, the system had reshaped her entire life.

She was no longer just Evelyn, the 27-year-old single woman traumatized by her parents' divorce and the quiet ache of solitude — she was something else. Something disciplined. Something extraordinary.

The neighborhood noticed.

They called her the "Goddess of Life Skill."

She could fix a broken window, bake perfect bread, heal a stray cat's injury, and grow roses that never wilted. Her quiet street turned into a pilgrimage site for curious onlookers. A millionaire once offered her a position as his private gardener, praising her miraculous touch with plants.

She accepted… for three days. Then fled.

Because the more she obeyed the system, the louder it became in her mind — whispering of "levels," of "potential," of "awakening."

Then one morning, the world changed.

The sky split open — half red, half black, swirling like molten fire and shadow.

From the heavens descended a colossal clock made of light.

[GLOBAL EVENT: APOCALYPSE COMMENCING][Countdown: 24:00:00]

Screams echoed across the city as every human eye turned upward. Some panels appeared above people's heads, flickering like fireflies.

[Skill Awakening Detected.][New Classes Available: Mage | Knight | Archer | Assassin | Healer | Craftsman]

Buildings trembled. Creatures crawled from cracks in the streets. The rules of the world rewrote themselves in seconds.

Evelyn's hands shook as her system screen opened on its own.

[Special Class Unlocked: Life Artisan][Title Acquired: Goddess of Life Skill][Skill Tree: MAXED. Hidden Path Unsealed.][Quest: Survive the First Day of the Apocalypse.]

Her heart pounded. For the first time, her mundane skills — cooking, gardening, sewing, healing — glowed like divine sigils on her panel.

When others learned to fight with sword or spell, she cultivated life in a world drowning in chaos.

And thus began her true awakening —The quiet woman who once ran from her own loneliness would now become the one who saves humanity, one life skill at a time.
