Chapter 77 - Chapter 77: A powerful idiot?

2B, Tifa, and A2 were all originally built using general-purpose combat robot technology.

However, after numerous upgrades and modifications, they are no longer made entirely of steel; instead, their frames now incorporate a wide array of advanced biomimetic materials.

These biomimetic materials are nearly indistinguishable from human tissue. When paired with an integrated body-temperature regulation system, they can replicate approximately 80% of the tactile sensation of a real human body.

Tifa, in particular, was designed as a management-class unit, so her combat capabilities are relatively modest. Consequently, she incorporates the highest proportion of biomimetic materials among the three, making her the most human-like to the touch. At this point, it's extremely difficult to tell whether she's artificial or organic through observation or physical contact alone.

In contrast, 2B is a YoRHa Executioner-type unit. Her internal structure features an adamantium-reinforced skeleton, and her subdermal layer is woven with vibranium fibers. As a result, her tactile realism is slightly less convincing than Tifa's—though the difference is negligible unless one pays very close attention.

The newly developed A2 represents an even more advanced evolution. Her entire body is composed of programmable nanoparticles containing three core components: vibranium, true Adamantium alloy, and next-generation biomimetic materials.

Vibranium forms the bulk of A2's skeletal structure—excluding only the metacarpal bones—and comprises the inner layer of her synthetic skin. This configuration maximizes vibranium's kinetic energy absorption properties, dramatically enhancing A2's defensive capabilities.

Compared to 2B, A2 prioritizes defense over offense, and her raw attack power is slightly lower than 2B's adamantium-reinforced frame. To compensate, Loren implemented key enhancements elsewhere: A2's hand bones and her signature cold weapon—the Embroidered Spring Blade—were forged from true Adamantium alloy. This grants her the extreme hardness and razor-sharp edge needed to eliminate high-threat targets in close combat.

Beyond these reinforced elements, the remainder of A2's body consists entirely of nanoscale biomimetic composites.

This nanotechnology goes far beyond mere cosmetic mimicry. The nanoparticles can dynamically condense into functional analogues of major organs, neural pathways, and even vascular networks. Moreover, A2 can simulate endocrine activity—mimicking the hormone secretion of carbon-based lifeforms—to produce sensations that feel authentically human. She can even experience pleasure in ways previously thought exclusive to organic beings.

In essence, A2 exists in a liminal space between machine and human—a singular fusion of synthetic engineering and biological verisimilitude.

This level of sophistication rivals Dr. Helen Cho's Regeneration Cradle technology from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, capable of bestowing lifelike qualities upon mechanical forms.

Importantly, A2 maintains full control over these simulated sensations. She can activate or deactivate them at will.

Loren leveraged this feature to implement two distinct operational profiles: Combat Mode and Daily Mode.

- In Daily Mode—used during downtime or personal interactions—A2 engages her full biomimetic suite for naturalistic behavior and touch.

- In Combat Mode—triggered during missions—non-essential systems are suppressed to prioritize speed, durability, and lethality.

At this moment, A2 is operating in Daily Mode.

"Boss, I noticed you seem a bit lethargic. I'll make you a cup of goji berry tea right away."

Tifa approached with a warm smile, ready to prepare tea for Loren.

Moments later, she returned with a cup brimming—nearly a third of it filled with plump goji berries.

"Boss, get up and have some tea," she said gently, brimming with concern as she sat down beside the bed, cup in hand.

Upon hearing this, Loren was startled and quickly sat up.

"Hold on—what you're saying sounds familiar. Don't you have a distant sister surnamed Pan?"

"A sister surnamed Pan? Boss, what nonsense are you talking about? My only sisters are Sister 2B and Sister A2!"

"What's wrong, boss? Do you think the three of us sisters aren't enough? Do you want another sister with the surname Pan?"

Hearing Loren's words, the three women looked at him with puzzled expressions.

"2B, stop it. I've had enough. I don't want any more sisters now."

Loren wasn't lying—he genuinely felt that way.

"That's more like it!" 2B smiled gently, then turned her gaze to A2.

"Sister A2, you haven't done the combat power test yet, have you?"

"Not yet. Why?" A2 shook her head, a hint of curiosity on her face.

"Perfect timing. We've got a big green monster being held captive at our base. He'll make a great practice subject."

"While the boss was in seclusion training you," 2B added, "I'd often go fight that green monster to pass the time."

"Oh, really? If you can use him to practice, he must be really strong."

"His physical strength is indeed greater than mine—but his brain isn't very sharp. He's a bit dim-witted."

"A powerful idiot? The more you talk, the more curious I get. Come on, take me to see him."

"Alright, let's go."

2B and A2 chatted as they walked toward the cell where the Hulk was being held.

Listening to their conversation, Loren couldn't help but laugh—and cry a little inside.

If Bruce Banner heard what they were saying right now, I wonder what he'd think.

It's really upsetting… a physics PhD like me turns into what they call an "idiot" after transforming!

Upon hearing Bruce Banner's name, Loren immediately got up and changed his clothes.

For the past month or so, he'd been busy building A2's systems and his own nanotech armor, so he hadn't visited Bruce even once.

It was time to go see him now—and then take some of his blood as raw material to synthesize the perfect Hulk serum.

Of course, he could also develop the formula from scratch…

But that would take too much time, and he couldn't wait to become stronger.

So for now, they'd do whatever saved time!

Not long after, he and the three women arrived at a floor-to-ceiling glass window.

Through it, they could clearly see a slightly scholarly-looking man sitting cross-legged inside—none other than Bruce Banner, the man who transformed into the Hulk.

Judging by his appearance alone, no one would imagine this quiet man could become the terrifying green behemoth when enraged.

"Boss, is this the big green guy you were talking about? He looks perfectly normal to me!" A2 said, sounding doubtful.

"He's normal when he's calm," Loren explained. "But once you provoke him, he turns into the Hulk."

"He transforms when he gets angry? That's a peculiar ability. I'd really like to see it."

"That's easy. Just go in, provoke him—and while you're at it, take a vial of his blood. I have a very important use for it."

Loren gave the order to A2.

Upon hearing Loren's command, A2 nodded—and her body passed directly thro

ugh the glass, entering the cell where the Hulk was being held.

"!!!!" 2B gasped.

"!!!!" Tifa exclaimed.
