North Kai rubbed his little hands anxiously.
Because he offended Beerus, his planet had been reduced to a tiny rock — and he had been mocked by all the other Kais for countless years.
He'd wanted to restore his planet forever.

Gran's expression darkened.
He thought something serious had happened — but this guy was basically trying to wish on him.
"You treating me like the Namekian dragon or something?" Gran said speechlessly.
"Huh? I can't?"
North Kai's little face fell instantly.
"Uh… you can. When I return to the God of Destruction Realm, I can ask Whis. He should help me."
Gran held in a laugh. "But as far as I know, your planet was smashed by Lord Beerus. You sure you want it restored?"

North Kai's excitement collapsed into pure despair.
That was Beerus's punishment.
If Beerus found out the planet was restored, wouldn't that be suicide?
"And I'll only help you once. If you use up this promise now, I won't help you later if you run into real trouble."
Those words made North Kai sigh again.
What else could he do?
He had to save that promise. At least if something huge happened in the future, he'd still have the terrifying Candidate God of Destruction backing him up.
